My understanding is that there is a range of outcomes for each potential. So a Superstar could cap closer to a perennial allstar or an MVP. There's no real way of knowing until you train them

There is a youtube video on this : (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tx8MB1qudRc)

It may also depend on which position he plays. Passing is a high cost skill for a PG, but it's a medium cost skill for a SG. You might look at drafting a short Center (6'2" or shorter) and training him.

I have a Superstar player with 16JS, 9JR, 20OD, 20HA, 21DR, 8PA. Not the build you are looking for, but I would think it is possible.

My advice would be to scour the transfer market for 18 year olds at the start of next season. Set thresholds for the skills you want to train - you don't want any of those skills to start at 1. Buy 3 or 4 and train 1v1 forwards for a year. See where they stand after that

Might be a good idea to secure coaches now. Youth trainers are easier to buy than the regular ones. But you're less likely to get in a bidding war now.

Hello,

Superstar potential is fine , it depends on what your trying to accomplish.

Send me the player in Dm ,if he is under 21 there still time to fix him . If he over 23. Give me your regime and the player your trying to create meaning your best tactical plan for him.

It's all about the cost of the player

A Center with 20 PA won't cost as much as a PG with 20 PA. The same thing is true for ID. A Center with high Inside Defense will cost more than a PG with high ID. And because the cap is based on salary rather than skill points, it's worth it to train secondary skills first and leave the high cost skills last.

There is also an "elastic effect". Some skills train faster if other skills are already high. Outside Defense trains faster if Handling is high.

As for performance, defense rules all. The most important skill for a guard is OD. But unless you have a HOF player, you will always fall short of what you want (which is everything)

This game is a learning experience. And it takes many failures until you get it right. Which I have never done

im truly struggling with developing inside shot

Pick players with high inside shot, driving sf/pf should give 4-5 pops, jump shot sf/pf another 2 pops. And IS training on top to desired level, which will also give some JS. ALso you don't need 14 in PA, JR, that's NT level and too expensive for superstars

how much should i hold on the OD, JR and Passing now that im considering inside scoring

It takes longer time with IS, but it's better and more valuable player. There is also a build with more OD like 17-18 and even less JR, PA. And IS doesn't cost much in terms of salary/potential. For your offensive build no more than 12 in JR, PA and for a version with high OD no more than 9-10 in those two skills and 1 less JS too
