(331391.13)Please note: OPP or DEF in stats category name means it’s teams’ opponents statistic, in other words ’defensive statistics’.
Total REB % = team has been able to get this %-value of total rebounds available in a match
Off REB % = team has been able to get this %-value of
offensive rebounds available for them in a match
AST/TO = teams’ assist to turnover ratio; relation of teams own assists vs. Own ball handling errors (turnovers)
ST+BL/TO = teams’ steals+blocks to turnover ratio; teams’ own defensive contribution vs. Own ball handling errors (turnovers)
ST+BL/FL = teams’ steals+blocks to committed fouls-ratio; teams’ ability to produce positive defensive contributions without fouling
FLS aver. = teams’ fouls per match
Opp. FLS = teams’ opponents fouls per match
Score margin = teams’ scored points minus conceded points, average per match
Scoring OFF = scoring offense; average scored points per match
Scoring DEF = scoring defense; average allowed points per match
FGA/match = teams’ FG a.k.a. field goal attempts per match
FG% = teams’ success percentage in field goals (FG)
OPP. FG-% = teams’ opponents success percentage in field goals (FG), a.k.a. defensive FG-%
2P FG att/game = number of teams’ 2 point field goal attempts in a match (average)
2P FG rate(%) = teams’ tendency to shoot 2 point field goals (FG); percentage of 2 point shot attempts out of all field goal attempts
2P FG-% = = teams’ success percentage in 2 point field goals (FG)
OPP. 2P-% = teams’ opponents success percentage in 2 point field goals (FG), a.k.a. defensive 2 point FG-%
3FG att = number of teams’ 3 point field goal attempts in a match (average)
3FG rate(%) = teams’ tendency to shoot 3 point field goals (FG); percentage of 3 point shot attempts out of all field goal attempts
3FG-% = teams’ success percentage in 3 point field goals (FG)
OPP 3FG rate = teams’ opponents’ tendency to shoot 3 point field goals (FG); percentage of opponents’ 3 point shot attempts out of all opponents’ field goal attempts
OPP. 3FG-% = teams’ opponents success percentage in 3 point field goals (FG), a.k.a. defensive 3 point FG-%
FTA/match = teams’ FT a.k.a. free throw attempts per match (average)
FT-% = teams’ success percentage in free throws (FT)
OPP. FT-% = teams’ opponents success percentage in free throws (FT)
FTA/FGA = teams’ free throw attempts per field goal attempt; shows teams’ ability to produce FT opportunities in offence
PTS/FGA = points per field goal attempt; expected points per FG attempt when team shoots FG’s
FG AS-% = field goals assist-%; how large percentage of teams’ field goals (FG) have been assisted; higher value usually means better offensive flow and/or high passing skills
EffectiveFG% = eFG% Measures field goal percentage adjusting for scored 3-point field goals being 1.5 times more valuable than scored 2-point field goals; eFG% gives better idea of teams’ actual shooting efficiency in one number (as also shot amounts from 2 and 3 point distances are considered), as opposed to FG% and 3FG%-values
OPP Eff.FG% = same explanation as above; team’s opponents’ effective field goal shooting percentage; a.k.a. defensive eFG%
Block rate = how large percentage of opponents’ two point attempts team has been able to block
*=Note:- steal rate,
- turnover rate,
- possessions/game and
- opponent possessions/game
are close estimates/approximations!
*Steal rate = how often (percentage of opponents’ offences) team is able to steal the ball when opponent has the ball possession.
*Turnover rate = how large percentage of teams’ ball possessions end up in a turnover.
*Possessions = teams’ possessions per game.
*OPP. Possess. = teams’ opponents’ possessions/game
