14 out of 16 teams will play 2 games in a row away at least once in a season. 2 teams will play 3 games in a row away at least once (though if you're staying in the same conference for multiple seasons in a row, you will not play 3 games in a row away on consecutive seasons -- but if you promote/relegate and swap from B8 to G8 then you have the potential to get unlucky).
I wouldn't expect any consideration of changing the fixtures to try to smooth that out before the new UI. But there's also just some practical limits on how much you can drive that down -- I did some experimentation with it in the past and it's effectively impossible to get a fixture with 0 double-away games for all teams (and even more so it's basically impossible to have 0 weeks with no home game revenue, given the existence of the all-star break and the fact that MD1 is on a Saturday instead of a Tuesday). The most fair fixture I could come up with would have 8 teams with 1 double-away and 8 teams with 2 double-away sequences, but no triple-aways.
