What would you immediately change in BB if you were the owners and could do any change u want?

- training system
- help with info and data about every structure
- help with info and data about staff
- clear rules about 'calculation of balls'
- new site
- rewrite salary formula and more long roster
- statistics everywhere
- complete app ( we are in 2026 come on).

The game engine is broken, it’s not simulating basketball. I’m tired of games were my team will shot 35% FG and 18% 3pt just because. There’s no emphasis in rebounding, Passing, blocking, etc. Game became very one dimensional and the new owners have not been caring for seasons.

Hello

What was it like 10yrs ago there no”YouTube “or anything like that. Just. Basically spreadsheets and guessing? Or am i seeing to far off?

Theory’s maybe as well , How did manager like yourself manage, was the forums much better more involved. Any manager from the era. That made you get better through there philosophy.

Was training always long ?

My view is that BB's biggest problem is not one specific mechanic. It is that the game hides too much of what makes it good. I don't want BB to become simple, fast, casual or mobile game-like. The slow pace, long-term planning, training decisions, promotion/relegation, national teams and attachment to players are exactly what make BB interesting.
But there is a difference between depth and obscurity.

Too much of BB is still understood through old forum posts, private experience and community folklore. That works for people who have been here for years like many of us but it does not work for someone who joins today, loses a few games, trains badly for a month, misunderstands the economy and then quietly disappears.

A new user should not need to become an archaeologist to understand the basics of the game. I would start by making the existing game clearer.

The manual should be rewritten properly. Training should be explained better. Tactics should be explained better. The game should tell users what matters, without revealing every formula. Right now BB often feels like it is hiding the ball from the user and then blaming the user for not understanding basketball management.
The same applies to the interface. I dont need fancy animations but I need the game to feel maintained, readable and usable on mobile (it's 2026, come on). At the moment, a new visitor can easily get the impression that the game is abandoned before they even discover what is good about it.

For me the priority would be:
- make the game understandable
- make the site and mobile experience decent
- make the manual actually useful
- communicate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- protect the long-term nature of the game

only then start touching the engine carefully (e.g. salary, training more than once a week etc)

Hi (again) yall 2x returning player here.
Last I quit a few hundred would be online with max in low 1,000's.
Seems about the same from last time I played lmao.
Didn't start in a div 5 league like last time.
But first time I played, started in a half full div 5 league.
It's ok though, most games dont last a year or two, suprised this place was still around 👍
Alittle annoyed the training system wasnt revamped and I have to start a center at pg to get a passing pop. Or a guard at center to get an IS pop, but whatever, it is what it is. I guess its too hard to code that or something.

The core of the game has largely stayed the same over the years. Sure, tactics evolved — Look Inside was king back in the day — and some leagues got merged along the way. Personally, I think the introduction of Utopia was a misstep, though I can see what they were going for. On the positive side, the infrastructure improvements and the app were genuinely welcome additions.

What's slowly killing this business, though, is the lack of communication — and at this point, I don't see that changing. If it were going to, we would have seen it by now.

The user base has been on a steady decline, and I don't expect that trend to reverse anytime soon. There simply isn't a large audience for slow-paced manager games anymore.
