I found this comment about enthusiasm on the BB Discord which I thought was interesting.
A team that Normals with 11 enthusiasm is near twice as good as the same team normaling at 5 enthusiasm. A team crunch timing from 5 is usually better than the same roster taking it easy from 11. Tie builds up enthusiasm in games you can't win or should easily for use where it can make the difference.
It really speaks to why it's important to maximize enthusiasm whenever possible as well as the impact of effort spent on a game.
