Welcome all to season 71
No new teams
Everybody's been here at least once before
So welcome back to those teams

Thank you schedule maker for another beauty
Seriously. could it be worse than starting at home against the mighty champs?
Be chasing game one all season again
Well. enjoy!

Thank you, Gunner, it's good to be back.

Nice to see you're still around! I saw you seemed fairly resigned to be relegated from Naismith last season yet you still managed to finish 2nd in the Big 8. Well done! I clearly need to figure out how you, Mr Burns, Fresh24, RiP, xzhvirus (and other I'm surely forgetting) manage such long, consistent runs in Naismith,

I'll be facing last year's contenders, but it looks like they let go at least a couple of players, so I might have it easier than you, but still doesn't mean I will be able to win eheh.

Cheers!

This season will be tough, lots of veterans and several teams keeping $1million+ salaries.
Every season is an opportunity to learn something new, I'm sure this will be a season of learning.

Good luck everyone - any recommendations on how to replace a multi-time MVP and your primary scorer on a shoe-string, cash poor budget?

why not keep him and play him until the wheels come off? That's my plan with my old players.

Welcome All.

I think I got lucky in that first game, hca maybe.
I'm trying to figure out how to retool for another run.

The champs are hard to beat.

Congrats Philosopher Kings!

Yours was the only Great 8 game that wasn't a nail-biter. The rest of us who had hca were lucky to have it.

Given the final result of our game, I wouldn't say it was simply luck/hca! I'll have to try and improve my team during the course of the season to avoid being relegated to II again. It'll be a difficult season but surely a learning experience, as Fresh24 said!

Some very close games this week again - The Great 8 is going to chew us up by season's end.

After watching tonight's game, I have no doubt I am booking the eight spot for myself
