Would this be an adequate way to pick an All-Star game MVP.

20% Highest rating
40% On the winning team
20% Highest points scored
20% combined asst/reb/stls/blks total

You could get a trophy and the award could improve attendance slightly!

Is there a way to implement such a formula into the game?

This is a suggestion for the ASG MVP, who is definitely picked based on whether his team wins the game or not. As a matter of fact, in about 99% of the cases the MVP is on the winning team, so...

"I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve."

Right on. Then perhaps another formula could arise like a mighty hawk. Where are all the smart type people when you need them? Out of 53,000, I must be ranked about 50,000 when it comes to math.

The simplest value formula that are used to evaluate player contribution is:

VALUE = PTS + REB + AST +STL + BLK - TO - Missed FG - Missed FT

Variations of this formula exist where the coefficient in front of the contributing factors are different from 1.

"I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve."
