Weekly salary: $ 120 771

DMI: 670600
Age: 25
Height: 7'1" / 216 cm
Potential: allstar *
Game Shape: strong

The allstar* means that he was created prior to the season 5 introduction of potential, and that his allstar potential was added "after the fact" in that update. Which then implies (in combination with his age), that most of his training occurred in seasons 1-4, when there was no softcap on salaries, thus letting him "circumvent the allstar cap", since it wasn't even in effect when he trained.

not really, the cap comes before the big salaries are reached even for the old players ;)

But if you train players consequently, they could top their cap and you dn#t need that much skillups for a center to gain a big raise in salry.

There were already several players around 80-100k salary when potential was introduced.

Being capped doesn't mean you can't train your guys at all anymore. Certainly at the higher levels just a pop or two can lead to a massive increase in salary. Reaching the cap just means your training will be slower.

So you can still train your players for 3 seasons after they are capped, which might lead to a 6 pops or something, which can make the difference between 60k and 160k.

This is correct. Zhivko Dimitrov has been trained in 1 position for several seasons after he hit the cap. He's been very slow to improve lately, but all the props go to his owner, who was willing to spend the time and effort here.

He wasn't past the cap when the potential was introduced.
