The season 11 draft is coming - given the BB technology updates I do not know the exact date but normally it would be between March 22nd-23rd. It would be ideal to get as much scouting done within the first 2 days of the draft as possible (hopefully all of it). As with this past season, I would like to include divisions I-IV. Division IV gets to be a bit of a slog after a while (at some point almost all the teams are bots). But it is worth going through them all as we did come across 2 extra players in something like division IV.50 this past season.

What is needed is a bunch of people who can go through all the season 11 drafts and compile a list of 18 yr olds or anyone with all time great potential. Player ID and name would be sufficient - we can continue the practice of last season where the player ids are posted in this thread.

-18 yrs old
-salary of $3,500+?
(I have no idea what the salary cut-off should be given the changes coming to salary)
-a potential of star or better
-not retired
-does not belong to a bot team

Also, in additional to player id, I would also like to ask if you could post the last login date, if the owner has not logged in within the last 3 weeks. This will help to determine which prospects may need to be saved.

I know RIP volunteered to manage this, I am just getting the ball rolling. And to be honest I probably will not have much time next week. But if nothing is getting done I will do my best to step in where necessary.

So, if you are up for helping out just post your intentions here.

Here is the process to scout, as documented by AstonMidhurst last season:

1. For the division you are assigned, look at the conference page (either Big 8 or Great 8 and check to see whether or not the team is bot. If the team is bot you don't need to look at it (you can tell by seeing the last login date, since bot teams will have a blank entry).

2. If a team is not bot, open their team page in a new window (saves time by not having to go back through old pages).

3. From the team page, go to that team's roster.

4. In the roster page, sort the players by age... they are automatically sorted by youngest to oldest (meaning the players we are looking for will be at the top of the page).

5. Note the players that fit the requirements for tracking... all newly drafted players will have a DMI of 0. If there is an 18-year old that doesn't have a DMI of 0, it means that the age update has yet to take place, and he's actually supposed to be 19-years old.

6. If the player is for sale, mention this to the NT or U21 manager, so that he can take down the skillset of the player.

7. Repeat the process above for each of the teams in the conference.

8. Repeat the process above for the other conference.

9. Repeat the process above for the other divisions.

Finally, do not start scouting until the new season 12 divisions have been created. If some people start before and some after, teams can get lost in the shuffle.

Actually, if you are not sure, just wait until someone in the know gives the go-ahead to start scouting.

I think that is quite a bit of work but I am not going to tell anyone what to do this time.

That goes for everyone else, too. I suggest saying exactly what you are doing so no one duplicates your effort.

On the other hand, if someone does want to organize things and put up a list of who is doing what, be my guest. Unless we hear from RIP, I will assume that I will be the one calling up the players and taking down their skills. So you can leave me off the list for the moment.

True, it would be quite a workload. I know many people have volunteered to help scout all the divisions for the new draft. The hard part will be definatly going through each of the IV to find the possible players to track.

Yeah, I took down most of the later division IV teams because I was bored last draft lol. Generally, there were only 2 teams in each conference though that weren't bot so it didnt take THAT long. Doing all 16 division III leagues would be pretty tough time consuming though. I will do division IV 1-8 to start off and then keep moving up if nobody takes the other leagues and I have time
