Just checking in on everyone's season. I personally have been doing horrific in Div IV with a record of 8-5 and 2nd place in my conference. So, I'm inthe middle of needing much help.

Anways, how do you guys feel you are doing right now. Worried, confused, excited? Do you think your gonna make the playoffs? Are you on a losing streak like me? Just write it all on here.

At lower levels it's easier to get by with defence, which you don't seem too keen on judging by your game ratings, game scores, and marketed players (being a C with pitiful ID and a PG with atrocious OD). I had a similar mindset last season and it didn't work for me. I'm still working on changing it but it takes time, it's fixable. Working on your game shape should also be a priority. Roster 11-12 players and properly manage their minutes. Here's a graph displaying the relationship between minutes and game shape: http://i39.tinypic.com/p895t.jpg (so basically 45-75 minutes per week is great)

It'd be optimal for you to overhaul most of your roster at some point. Especially if you currently have a high percentage return on your marketed players. I could try to help there, but I'm pretty new also.

And I guess I should post something pertaining to the intended use of the thread.. it's hard to say how I'm doing because my IV league is infested with bots. I'm improving every week I guess.

I'm sitting in 2nd with a 9-4 record in II.2.

Quite happy with my position in the league given that I am slightly below the average for player salaries but I am not close enough to matching the top teams like Super Krew or the Molson Canadians. My plan is to keep the fans happy and win as many games as I can while expanding the stadium, which as of today stands at 17,500. I figure that will give me the basis to make some decent cash and upgrade my big men as I train PG's.

Things are looking okay here. I've gotten things back on track and am winning my Div IV games on Take it Easy. I've picked up two solid post players with salaries of 9 and 11k, which in Div IV makes them quite strong. At 23 and 25, I should be able to keep them for quite some time, transitioning them to backups as my team gets better. It will be extremely difficult for any of the teams in my league to stop me from moving back to Div III next year. There is one team making lots of moves on the transfer market, flipping players and putting money in the bank (I suspect), but I should be able to beat them with my top guys playing all at once.

Financially, I'm pretty much tapped out. I will not be adding any new players until the draft. My weekly earning are also quite low because of my Level 6 trainer and the high (for Div IV) salaries on my team. I do, however, have about 40% of the seats still empty at my home games. I'm thinking of using what little cash I have left to upgrade my Level 1 PR manager to somebody who'll put more butts in the seats. If I start filling my arena like I was at the end of last year, I'll be raking in the dough again!

Plan right now is to finish off the regular season with an extremely high enthusiasm, and take that into the playoffs. No messing around in the playoffs, play as hard as I can every game and make sure I advance. Look to the draft (lots of bots, something good might fall), and consider selling one of my three trainees next year. By next year any of the three should get me 2-3 million on the market, but I'd have to draft something really special to part with any of the guys I already have.

Good luck with the rest of the season everyone!

My season is going alright in III. I am 9-4 and sitting out of the playoffs right now. 1 conference is very competitive and the other is not so great. I am 2 games out of 2nd so that is encouraging, It should be a very interesting stretch.
