That's pretty cool man, nice find.

I'm also guessing you plan on mimicking his situation with your excellent trainees? It seems very doable since he's already shown it can be done.

I just found a very interesting team (78088) Philadelphia 76S from Spain. A few seasons ago they relegated from DIV 4. The manager then blew the team up and bought two top caliber MVP SGs for six million to go along with a perennial all-star player he drafted. Since then he has made very few transfers and has built his team solely on the progression of training his prospects. Remember Spain has six divisions and their division four and five are much tougher than other big countries. So far his progression has looked like this:

Season 9: Relegated from Division four, blew up Team. Got 3 awesome Spanish rookies
Season 10: In Division 5 training 18 year old rookies
Season 11: Won Division 5 when his rookies were only 19
Season 12: Finished 8-14 in a tough Div 4, won the relegation. Trainees were only 20 years old
Season 13: Trainees are 21 and two of them made the Spanish U21 team. Right now he is in second place with a 9-4 record.

If he keeps this pace up he will be in Division two in a couple of seasons, which is no easy feat in Spain. At worse he will be in division three and won't be forced to sell off his top players. This was a team that was stuck in Division five for many seasons and he is having more success than he ever has. Blowing a team up and building around some great prospects can be a very good strategy for a team stagnating in middle divisions.

Are you joking?Do you think it's so easy to be promoted in Spanish II division?to fight for the promotion in II division,he had at least to buy two big mans stronger than the chinese center he yet have, and while the price of the big man is fall down drammatcially,it's still difficult for a user of a Iv division in a country like Spain/Italy/every COMPETITIVE nation to raise money without selling player,as he should do in his situation to still be enough competitive to be promoted

This user chose a great strategy for his team, and I hope him the best luck and to make the path you predict for him,but the thing isn't so sure as you think,he probably will have problems, maybe yet the next season if he would not be promoted,to sustain his salary players,so if he had some problem in his path,he could be forced to sell at least one of his stronger trainee, and follow a different strategy;and he has two strong teams in his league which could have the home factor in the playoffs and beat him this season

When we talk about economy in big countries,we refer just at the fact that often is very difficult to follow any kind of strategy for their teams, when you have so high expenses and few possibilities to raise money in the lower divisions

Steve is true. This tactic dont work in higest divisions from seson 11 when I again start this game I buy 2 18 years old players and train it some lucky trades and I get some good players in positions what I dont train. In first season I reached PO in divIV. Ok its not Spanish league, but there is some strong teams (this teams is stronger then new team). in seson 12 I win my lague with 21-1 (in cup i go to leg 5).
After promotion I think that I need 2 seasons to relegate to next divison, but now I have 11-1.
If I promote to div II after this season maybe after 4-5 seasons I can promote to divison I. becase I need better players. but I train only SG, PG.I need money For good C and PF, but then I need sell some players, but then my team become weaker (without backup).

So. You need train more players than you want keep in your rooster in higest divisons.

Interesting post. But it´s going to be difficult for him because in 4º division his income is not still strong enough and his trained players are beginning to get very very high salaries. He will need to adjust training in order to adjust salaries to his income. At the same time adjust training to contein salaries means less competitiviness. And the window to promote is going to be very narrow. In this situation if you don´t promote when you have the players salarie-wise in control the following season could be too late.
