Last night, Canada won their first game of the Consolation tournament with a 112-99 win over England, that improved our record to 1-2. Paul Gaize lead the way last night, scoring 30 points and securing 8 rebounds at SG, shooting 12-20.

For the most part, the game was pretty close. We were tied after the first quarter and leading by 10 at the half. At one point in the 3rd quarter, England had tied the game with some unreal shooting from the SG and SF, but we were able to take the lead and were up 13 after the third. The 4th quarter was both teams mainly trading baskets and the game never in doubt.

Because England had to 3-2 us, we killed them on the boards, and we didn't even have our top 2 centers available to us. Pierre-Charles Jutras (11816593) made his debut last night for the NT and did what was needed. 4 points and 3 boards in 9 minutes.

Next up for Canada is on the road at the Philippines, who got upset by Romania and is now 0-3.

You did well with him, O-Rod.

In other news, it looks like Moran is going to play close to 80 minutes again this week, will have to ask the owner not to play him in the cup or he will be done for a few weeks.
