The first round of the playoffs have ended. Congratulations to the teams which went on! All 4 games were fun to watch, and I am looking forward to the next round.
urbandub vs J Monies: The game went on as expected, with urbandub's defense shutting down the new team. Both teams played good defense, and resulted in the lowest scoring game of the playoffs thus far, but urbandub seamlessly claimed the victory. victory: urbandub
NB Ballers vs Dani and Roxy BC: The playoffs took an interesting turn with an upset. NB Ballers seemed to have either underestimated his opponent, or perhaps he was trying to save his strength for urbandub, or maybe both? Chip Calderon dominated the boards and grabbed 24 rebounds, including 8 offensive. victory: Dani and Roxy BC
NeoBulls vs Edgewater Dreamers: After a strong first quarter by the NeoBulls, Edgewater Dreamers tried to stay in the game, but foul trouble got the best of him. With only five players, an ejection forced him to use a very lucky fan in his game. The NeoBulls roster played evenly, with 7 players getting in the double digits and 4 players getting 10 or more rebounds. victory: NeoBulls
1 Deep Boyz vs golden wolfs: This was perhaps the most fair and interesting match-up of the 4 games. The game came down to the last 30 seconds, and golden wolfs was able to seal the deal with a dunk. Both teams shot fairly well. 1 Deep Boyz won the battle of the boards, but golden wolfs played more as a team, getting more assists and steals. victory: golden wolfs
