Wait, it's election time again? Dang the time goes by fast!
Anyhow, despite having said at the last elections that i had the intension of not running for the NT job again, i'd decided to do it again. There are several reasons as to why i'm rerunning
1) I still feel that i can improve the Belgian NT
2) I'm extremely happy to see how a few of the projects have been coming along for the NT
3) I've got more time that i anticipated
4) I'm still not bored of the job.
5) after seeing the Czech NT, who's community has just 16 managers more than Belgium, become the NT world champions, i'm still not ready on giving up my NT dream, which is to lead the Belgian NT to a world championship participation
6) I haven't been overseeing the U21 program good enough, which has lead to some minor damage. If i'd leave the job as NT headcoach now and not at least attempt to straighten that out, i would be letting belgium move to a possible situation where it was before Sum and Joe took over to start our guidance to the sub top of Europe and thus laying all their efforts (and the efforts of the U21/NT staff, including mine) to waste, which isn't something i want to allow.
Anyhow, more than enough reasons.
As for myself, i don't think i need an introduction. Most of you already know me. However, for those who are new, here goes:
*) I'm Revo, a student who lives to the north of Antwerp and loves several sports, which include field hockey, basketball, baseball, ... basically any sport that is played with a ball.
*)I've been playing this game for 4 full years now, which means that i've got 15 seasons of experience to back me up. (Someone joked about me being a BB-fossil, lol. I wonder what he'd call GM-LoD :P)
*) I've been the NT head coach for the past 8 seasons, in which i've made the European championship twice ( coming very close to 3 times). I've improved the best performance belgium had in the consolation tourney and matched it this season ( to bad we didn't win it. we we got pretty close to beating spain, who went on to win the tournament). I've currently got a record for making the European championship once every 4 seasons, and would like to make it 2 straight appearances at the European championship ( aka the stage for the European big boy's) with Belgium, tho a lot will depend on who our opponents turn out to be as well as the game shape of the players of course.
*) I've been involved with the U21/NT staff for over 11 seasons now.
*) And i'm active in the BB community and a total BB Junky
I hope that my past results have pleased many and that you'll once again vote me in for what would be my 5th consecutive NT cycle.
---------------------
het is weer zover. NT verkiezingstijd.
