I don't think offsite forums really work for England. In fact they are probably counterproductive in getting people involved as content gets posted there instead of here and when people check here they see nothing and dont bother checking again.

I reckon about 1 in 10 users regularly check the in game forums and perhaps 1 in 10 of those users would be bothered to sign up for a whole other site so you'd be lucky to get 3-4 users + the people that have active NT roles.

My advice would be to use these forums for as much as possible (regularly, not just for election patter) in order to encourage more people to check them, any secret tactical talk can easily be discussed via PM.

agree 100%, although the english may find sticking to only talking tactics via PM easier then other cultures.

i like the offsite forum because:

- there is a lot of ongoing NT discussion there about coaching and tactical decisions for our NT (fascinating insight!)
- there is now a build up of older material some of which will be useful to new readers if they want to improve their own team or want to run for any other NT in the world.
- you come into contact with bb managers from other nations that you wouldnt do otherwise because they are not active on in our english forums.
- there is better functionality on this offsite forum with presenting players, tables etc

i agree with Park's point about a forum needing active participants to be worthwhile, but as long as the coaches use it and the staff then it serves a purpose for them. If on the back of that there are some extra managers that check it out and learn from it then so be it :)

I agree with this, I remember there being some cool threads on the old forum, taining guides, club diaries etc that everyone would benefit from.

My point is that there is not much reason why that stuff should be offsite when it would get 10x the audience here at least.

I don't disagree with the idea in theory, but for people to even find out about an offsite forum they have to check this forum, which they dont because nothing happens here when elections finish.

I don't think so, but as coach, you just post saying PM me with your thoughts and collate it.
