Does it make much of a difference between a trainee getting 47 minutes instead of 48+ minutes? Would someone who got 47 minutes get 47/48th of the training or would they get less? Please share your insight.

getting 47 minutes doesn't hurt that bad. But the lower you get, the worse the punishment is. So getting 47 minutes may only cost you 1% of your training, but getting 40 minutes might cost you 25%. Those numbers are an estimate, but im sure you get the picture.

Yeah if you're into math, I think it's on a sort of logarithmic scale. In other words the farther down you get from 48 minutes, the more impact it has. If you have a dude at 47 minutes after Saturday's game, just play them as a backup next game so they hopefully get 5-15 more minutes. Unless you're 1-position training 3 different players, then 47 minutes should be fine.

Its an exponential decrease, not a linear one. I think thats the right terminology? Maybe? Those are math-y words, so it must be right.

Logarithms are sorta like reverse exponents ;) At least, that's the best way I can think to put it without getting "math-y." For something like this, I assume it is a type of log or ln being used.

Actually, wozzvt did some analysis, and that suggested that the rapid part of the fall off doesn't really start until 45-46 minutes. At those points, it's probably 95% of training. THen there's a big drop off from 40-45 minutes, and by 35 minutes or so you're getting just 50% of training.

Lemme see if I can dig it up. Should be somewhere on the USA offsite. Join up if you're not already there, and the numbers guy in you will have plenty to feast on for a long time.

Well, from a training perspective, 90 minutes is better than 42. But 90 minutes isn't any different than 48. Once you get to 48+, there's no further increase in training.

And of course, 90 minutes is gonna be bad for gameshape.
