looks like grand ma mas drew a mildly competent team, but it shouldn't deter a t.i.e. from him. easy win. baker street got a tough draw that might deter a t.i.e. we'll see if he feels comfortable with it. he might play his starters and t.i.e. just to be safe. glugly got a tough draw and won't be able to t.i.e. if he wants to win. he'll have to scout and probably play starters to get a w. a probably win for the potent glugly team if he doesn't underestimate his cup opponent. phantasm got a brutal round 1 draw. anchorage is a d2 team that has a really solid roster, and philly are heavy underdogs here. might consider ct'ing early for implied future gains. it's not an impossible game because anchorage is a little weak on the inside, but boy, philly has a lot of work to do to get it done. everyone else has a guaranteed win against a cpu team.

Good luck to our cup teams. Last year we were well Represented. Myself and Cheeks (our last years champion) found ourselves in the final 64/32 teams before being knocked out. So lets have a great cup season again this year.

I won my cup game against the computer played them with 4 guys! ha 4 on 5... didn't want to mess up the game shape of my important players. I clearly need to be better because our side is very competitive.

boy sherlock, i did NOT think you were going to lose that one. really got beat up by his star shooting guard. sorry man, tough loss.

after week 1, we saw both baker street and philly get knocked out in the first round of the cup. this week isn't easier for this league as a whole, as there are some tough matchups again.

the great 8 definitely got the worse of the draws this week, as some of its competitive teams are in real danger of an early tournament exit. strong arm is up against a pretty below average d4 team with poor game shape. shouldn't be too much of a challenge, but you never know. glugly has a below average d4 team. again, shouldn't be too much of a worry for him.

over in the big 8, only beastest team has a challenge whatsoever, and quite a challenge it'll be. tallahassee's manager is entering his 7th season with the team, and he boasts a very... star studded d4 lineup. while his game shape isn't great, beastest's game shape is arguably worse, at least at the top end. tallahassee will look at this as a winnable game, and should he use his big 3 players, he would have a very good chance.

then there's west side. he is up against prov city investors, a very competitive d3 team with an... interesting team structure. they're comprised of almost entirely centers and shooting guards. the team is only 7 deep, but that's deeper than the tigers, who will have to call out the big guns to get the job done and move on in the cup.

finally, nyc warhawks got a tough draw. they play windwalker, who is a d3 team who is competitive in their league, but their league is pretty poor. honestly, should be a win for warhawks. i see no reason to suspect otherwise, unless something catastrophic happens.

for everyone else, congratulations on your cup win and free 50k. maybe 1 more week of majority cpu teams, then it starts getting real for most teams.

Out of all the straws, I get the shortest one.*Sigh*, hopefully pull out with a win. I'm thinking he might CT this game since his league is weak.
