INTERLEAGUE is officially here. This thread is for all of your interleague game previews, thoughts, trash talking, and to keep up with what the overall records are between the 2 sides.

My prediction is that the Great 8 will win the overall series vs the Big 8, however i do believe the Big 8 will make it closer than it was last year where the Big 8's top 2 teams went under .500 against the Great 8. So let the fun begin as we start to look what conference reign supreme! Also lets not forget that these games have HUGE playoff implications.

So here we go with Tuesday's Preview............

After looking over the games with all due respect I only see 3 games that should be highlighted. The remaining games I don't believe will be close contest (Unless 1 team TIE and another goes CT, or normal)

#3 BucsBlue vs. #3 Lambda (Contenders or Pretenders??? Game) Are these 2 teams REAL or not!
This has to be one of the biggest Interleague opener in a long time. Unless you had 2 undefeated 1 seeds playing each other. For Lambda they are in the HEAT of a playoff battle. Yes its early but these are the games that come back to haunt you when battling for that 4/5 spot. For BucsBlue this game is yet another opportunity to see who they really are. Are they Contenders or Pretenders. Lambda has a Stud PG, a SG that's scoring feverishly, and a big who controls the boards. BucsBlue has a Stellar PG (MVP candidate), a big that controls the boards, and always get secondary scoring from someone. Given Lambda is at home I am giving them a small nod to win by 5.

#2Walnut vs #4 Crosstown (Contenders or Pretenders?)
This is another pick em game. Walnut got off to a great start. then got HOUSED by Bucsblue but did bounce back with a win over Warhawk by 13. Walnut has a really good Center and a really good guard but doesn't have more than 4 5-figure salary players. Crosstown doesn't have a high profile player like Walnut but they carry 6 guys 5-figure salary Crosstown has experimented with lots of offense and look to be trying to find an identity. Crosstown has wins against all the teams below him but NONE against a top team. Walnut has beaten 2 top 4 teams and 3 teams with winning records while Crosstown only holds one of those type of wins. Despite being at home i am putting Crosstown and as small underdog here. Walnut by 4

#1 Bakers Street vs #5 Philly
This game i believe is going to be probably the best game of the opening round. Bakers is top Big 8 with only 1 loss to Walnut. Baker has beaten all the other Big 8 teams including BucsBlue. Bakers holds the second highest pt dif in the league. they have balance, are well managed, and play to their strengths. Philly is a 4-3 team on the outside of the playoff picture right now with a RED pt Diff.... So why will this be close? Look at Philly's wins?!?!?! Beat West Side & Beat Lambda both are top team and Title contenders but for some reason Philly just lays eggs every now and then. Philly has a couple of good guards but not lots of depth. Bakers is talented and deep. I am taking Baker to win this game (granted his team takes the game serious) But i wouldn't be surprised if this game goes into overtime. Baker by 3

i'm a fan of the big 8 for obvious reasons. we'll see if i'm wrong about the strength of either conference. i also think the warhawks and nyc warhawks game might need to be discussed. nyc might be 1-6, but i could see an upset there. might be my bias. good write-up, i enjoyed the read

Baker & Philly what a FINISH!!!!! unreal Hyman Ryder misses the last FreeThrow on a foul at the buzzer to lose by 1 point. Made FT sends game into Overtime... what a crazy good game.

Alright time for the second round of Interleague games. The Great 8 won the first round 5-3... with a couple NICE upsets...IF you wanna call it that. here's a quick preview of the must see games tonight...

Bakers vs Tiger... (Battle of the #1s)

These games are always fun as they give us a baseline to begin the discussion of what side has the more legit chance and having the promotion team! Baker is coming off of a 1 pt Loss to Philly (who always beats top teams... so no surprise there). Despite being a 2 loss team (baker) vs a 1 loss team (Tigers) Baker is only behind 14 pts in the Pt Differential. If you believe all baker has said (negative) about his view on his team this year then this game should be easily won by Tigers. But i personally believe Baker has some gamesmanship and this is going to be a good game! Tiger who finished 6th place last year is on the prowl to continue to show this season is NO FLUKE! Given that they each have a TIE game coming up. I expect both teams to play their "playoff lineups" and go normal. should be a good 1 i'm picking making the bias pick of taking the Upset... but the line in vegas has Tigers favorited by 6.5

Frosty vs Homeboyz... (Jocking for playoff position)

This should be a really tight game in my opinion. Homeboyz is out of the Cup race so i expect him to play his starters as he would a normal 2 game week. But note he plays Marsh on tuesday so it'll be interesting to see what game focus he chooses. Frosty is still in the cup, but gets a game tuesday he will probably view as very winnable. Also note Frosty has NO Intentions of not making the playoffs and he knows these games are the ones that later come back to haunt you. Neither team has a "scary" roster but Homeboyz has 2 players in the tops in the league in scoring one is second only to tommy lee. Can Frosty's guards defend enough to give him a chance to win down the stretch. With HomeBoyz at home i'm taking the Boyz to win. Vegas has the line at Homeboyz favorite by 8.5

Philly vs Warhawks (Intriguing game)

If you look at Phillys wins you'd say why is this game even getting mentioned as a preview should be a win. BUT if you then look at Phillys losses you realize there are no chalk it up wins for Philly this team is very polarizing. Warhawk in the same sense has been a roller coaster as well hard to pick what games he will win or lose. The hawks are out of the cup, while Philly has a tough cup opponent AND a game against walnut on tuesday. This could be the game Philly tries to save game shape and game enthusiasm which would make him vulnerable for a loss. Hard to call this game. My gut says Philly TIE's this game and doesn't play his starters (Reasoning... he sees Frosty could lose, and Crosstown plays BucsBlue...so even if he loses and those 2 teams lose as well he doesn't lose ANY playoff ground) so i am picking Hawk to win. But the Vegas line based on both teams playing it equally has Philly as a 11.5 favorite.

BucsBlue vs Crosstown

This game is being featured because its a homer game. BucsBlue seems to have the ship going in the right direction after a bad season start. The pieces are playing together, the chemistry is growing, they have won 4 in a row by a point margin of about 40 points. Crosstown is a team still battling the rough Great 8 for a playoff spot and always puts his best foot forward. Crosstown has beat who he should and has lost to teams higher than him in the power Rankings. I believe his guys will play hard, but are slightly outmatched in some critical positions. I am picking BucsBlue (not a bias pick). Vegas has the line at 17.5 in favor of BucsBlue

Best of luck to all the teams!!!!!!! Today's Games will be 4-4 thats the III.7 Daily News Prediction. Winners are as follows

Philly, Walnut, Bucs, Marshall, Tigers, Lambda, Mits, Homeboyz
