It's no secret that the game has been in a decline for the last several seasons. There is a lot of talk in the General English forums about this. A lot of complaints, suggestions, etc floating around in the BB universe with ideas to improve the game.

Canada is a proud and innovative nation. The purpose of this thread is to hear from Canadian's about their current experience with BB and to express their positive and negative thoughts about the game. Please offer any ideas you think would make the game better so we can discuss.

I have played this game for 4-5 IRL years now, starting in late season 15. I have always really enjoyed this game as a time-killer, sometimes strategic, simulation basketball GM game. I too over the last few season's feel like it has become a little stale, but it is still one of my favorite online activities.

My current issues -

1. Training. Training time has become a problem . There are a few reasons for this (inflated player market, fewer active Canadian teams in D.III/IV, lack of quality skills/potential in draft, etc.) but to me it's starting to become obvious that we need to boost training time.

Suggestion: A training boost could mean a chance at a double pop (2x skill) when you train a player over 48 minutes a week. Or every player who has played over 48 minutes has a chance to pop in a random skill every week, regardless if they received training or not. You could just simply increase the training speed by a certain percent as well.

2. Injuries. Injuries suck, especially when training. I understand they are realistic to real basketball though. We currently have 2 types of BB injuries, minor and severe injuries. Minor are the injuries which remove the player from a game, severe injuries remove the player from the game and make them sit-out for additional weeks.

Suggestion: Make 3 types of injuries. Severe injuries are what we see today, but a lot less frequent. Minor injuries turn to a "de-buff" and will drop a players skills. For example, Player A can get a medium wrist injury lowering his Jump Shot, Jump Range, Handling, Free Throw and Stamina by 2 for 2 weeks. Player B gets a minor ankle injury and lowers his Stamina, OD and ID by 1 for 1 week, etc.

This would allow you to continue to play injured players (sometimes - when not severely injured).

That's all I got for now.

Cheers,
