I know this has been discussed a million times, but I’ve seen more threads about game logs being bigger factors than everyone originally thought. So here are the 2 guys and their box scores. I should get one of these guys, so I just want to list them in the order that will be best.

Player 1 - 5/5/A - SF - 18 - 6’2 - Game log - 20 Min - FG 4/7, 3P 0-1, FT 7/7, OR 1, TR 2, AST 4, TO 1, StL 1, BLK 1, PF 4, Points 15

Player 2 - 5/4/A+ - PG - 18 - 6’0 - Game Log - 39 Min - 18/25, 2/5, 3/4, OR 0, TR 2, AST 8, TO 2, STL 4, BLK 2, PF 0, Points 42

Sure, player 1 could be a hidden gem and be Huge Potential, but his starting skill set seems like it would be very far behind player 2, although player 2 could possibly be PA potential instead of SS. Player 1 could be foul prone while player 2 looks to be a good defender and doesn’t foul at all. Both players look like they can pass, and neither can rebound.

I kind of figured that. Just wanted to get some advice before I loaded my final setting. Thanks!

4 potential = perennial all star and superstar
5 potential = MVP, HoF and All Time Great

Even if the 5/4 has 60 skills, he won't be anywhere as good as the 5/5 once they are trained. To be comparable the 5/4 need to be the best case and the 5/5 the worst case. A and A+ might even have the same number of skills as 1 primary skill level can shift the salary enough.

The PG formula is also a bit of a gamble, as you know the guy has PA, but he may have truly trash in secondaries which at 6'0'' might prove deadly (ie you wont be able to ever fix the secondaries if they are bad to begin with). Even if they were both 5/5 I might go with the SF for that reason given they are both short.

ST and fouls are definitely a concern, but sometimes these box scores are a bit misleading.

Thank you for the response! It helped me see things I wasn’t trying to see because of the killer box score.

Fingers crossed he is HoF and doesn't have 1 ST!

Wishful thinking. My luck he will be 42 TSP and MVP, on top of 1 Stamina. 😁. That’s if I even get him with the 2nd pick. I lost out on the first pick because my division had a bot team I had to play twice, and another team that went blank lineup the 2nd half of the season. Those were my 3 wins. That’s what I’m talking about with my luck, after I lose to the last place team in other division and spend all my scouting points thinking I’d have easy 1st pick. Then the other guy decided to go blank lineup 2nd half after winning half his game first half. Don’t know his reasoning but he said he didn’t see it impacting anything in the league, but of course it did by the end of things.

Yes, 66 is pretty good for a 19yo.
