Hello all,

I'm an OLD player (I played from Season 2-Season 10) and I'm back b/c of quarantine. It seems like a lot has changed (even if people would prefer MORE had changed).

Can people direct me to a couple of resources?

First, what are the best estimates of training speeds? (With a level four trainer)

Second, is it now better to train secondaries and then primaries (or for someone like me, who will be in D.IV for a couple of seasons, does it not matter).

Lastly, I recently drafted this guy (6'4", SS potential) and I think he looks (fine) to train as a guard. My current plan is to do his inside shot (maybe to medicore) and then passing (to respoectable) then training OD/1 on 1 to pump up his OD/Handling and Driving. Is that a reasonable plan?

Jump Shot: respectable Jump Range: mediocre
Outside Def.: average Handling: respectable
Driving: respectable Passing: awful
Inside Shot: atrocious Inside Def.: mediocre
Rebounding: inept Shot Blocking: mediocre
Stamina: average Free Throw: atrocious

For help just look at the sticky red threads in the help section:
(100218.2) for programs which will help with training
(144856.1) for a great guide to various aspects of the game

Tough job with that IS, but it should pop with the elastic from JS (-6) and ID (-4) reasonably at the beginning. The blueprint is the same as with most players. Train 1 on 1 first, since HA, DR and JS (secondary training) help speeding up a number of other skills. 1 on 1 forwards will also train IS.

Thank you both.

I know focusing on salary or TSP isn't the greatest proxy, but its hard for me to figure out what kind of players different divisions have.

If you were going to ball park the TSP on a starter for a DI, DII, DIII team in the US, do you have a guess what that might look like?

Or, put another way, I'm planning on training guards to DIII quality, then upgrading my arena and buying DIII quality bigs (after selling my initial batch of trainees). What should i be looking for?

Thanks! Once I get my trainees I'l be dumping all of my extra cash into expanding my arena as quickly as possible. Noted that a decent DIII started as primaries around 13-14.

One more question-

I know that a level four main trainer is 97% of a level 5 (and a level 6 is 103% of a level 5) but how do youth trainers work? How much of a boost do they give for 18 and 19 year olds?

It's probably multiplicative. So if you use a lvl 4 + lvl 4 YT it may be difficult to see but if you use any combination of lvl 6 and 7 for both, it is very noticeable, as you can see you beat the estimated training speed by a good margin (i.e. you get a lot of pops you are not supposed to get with just a lvl 6 trainer). It probably has the same effect on the gym, or whatever facility boosts crosstraining.
