EFF YOU ALL!

I’m surprised nobody wanted to create a thread for the new season and personally congratulate me on winning my 9th title. Wow. Tough crowd. I thought for sure you guys would be throwing roses at my feet by now.

I see some familiar faces: Sixth-man making his NBBA debut (niiiiice), and FML Live radio star, Chek, is back! We love that guy. Fun fact: I was the first FML Live interviewee; but unfortunately at that time the interview was conducted via BB-mail and not via Discord audio channel — bad vibes man. Anyways, welcome to you other new guys and congrats.

This is the second time I have made it to the NBBA when you are on the verge of a three-peat. I debated changing my teams name to Downsyndrome but didn’t for obvious reasons. Then considered “I hate upsyndrome” but that’s too long.... so I guess I’ll just stick with Flash Mashers?

In all seriousness good to be back, and maybe if K Henry wasn’t quitting the game FML would have a fighting chance. Good luck to everyone this season!

Confirmed: you’re presence is a bad omen for my team. You are the downfall of Upsyndrome. And believe me, when I saw that you promoted I thought to myself.... “oh, hey! Chek promoted. Cool. I haven’t seen him since . . . NOOOOoOOOoO!” It does seem to be a downward trend.

Khenry is not quitting. At least not yet. He’s got an FML radio reunion to edit.

First timer here, I am quite pleased that I finally made it to this level. I’ve made a couple USNT players, been a perennial winner at every level (outside of a tank/training season) but never quite got to the top. Winning game three on the road on Sunday night with a near buzzer beater (game winner by my man Ty Maxwell with 4 seconds left) was truly the high water mark of 20 years of on online sports simulations. Not sure if I’m quite ready to make any sort of serious challenge this season, but I hope to be a pain in the ass to a few of you and hang around up here at the NBBA for a while.

Also, EFF YOU ALL!!! (Did I do it right?)

It's the perfect plan.

Come to the NBBA when you are finishing your reign of terror and get destroyed for a season.

Buy your players when they are old and on their way downhill but still better than what I have.

Have a kick ass team but be the first manager in history to allow a D2 team to win the cup.

Oh, Ty Maxwell made it to the NBBA! Very nice. It’s always cool when a prime NT star carries your team to your first NBBA birth. Back in s32 I had a stacked D-II team and secured a top spot in my division, my odds for gaining promotion looked good, but then I acquired Shawn Bowen late in the season and it was all over. He absolutely dominated and it was fun to watch.

Thanks! I wasn’t certain I was going to win my league last season, but I knew I had a shot. It was a wild final, I didn’t have home court (I was finalizing Maxwell’s out of position training) and I thought I’d try to slip a reverse patient in game one and it didn’t work out, took a 20 or so point loss in game one. Surprisingly, we absolutely dominated game 2, then I lucked out with an accurate inside guess and some decent coaching moves in game three to win on the road. Very exciting and slightly vindicating after taking some flack for selling Cameron Brooks back in the day. At that time, my team was aging, I had no money and I had an 18 year old Ty Maxwell. I took the cash and the long play and I’d say it has worked out.

You trained Brooks, too? Nice track record. Selling him was definitely the right move. You gotta rebuild it that situation. If you’re not moving up, you should be moving down IMO. I hate mediocrity. Also, impressive managing skills that series. Nice results.

Are we still doing that thing where we update the trophy count every season? Or did that die when Jason demoted?
