The S70 news mentioned that the option of disabling garbage time will be extended to all match types in the future.
I'm wondering, is it better to choose disabling garbage time or enabling it?

For training players, disabling garbage time seems more beneficial.
But what about teams that are aiming for better standings?

On one hand, since the first tie breaker is forfeits, which are uncommon, and the second is point differential,
disabling garbage time seems to have an advantage.

On the other hand, when it comes to managing game shape,
enabling garbage time might work better, but I’m not really sure.

Besides, I'm a bit worried that if disabling garbage time also turns out to be more beneficial for teams aiming for good results,
then the game might become a bit monotonous in some ways.

What do you guys think?

I think if you have a double blowout week, disabling garbage time in at least 1 game makes managing game shape way less of a pain in the neck (especially if you're out of the cup).

Also, disabling garbage time in the first half of the season makes it easier to farm all star votes, which seem to be based on some combination of rating and minutes played at a position based on my limited observations.

Personally, I've always had very good GS with ~72 minutes, a massage doc, and a sports psychologist, so I plan to always disable garbage time. Will make it pretty easy to get 60-72 minutes across my team with an 11 man roster once I drop out of the cup.

I like the idea of this feature.. but why not add to it a little bit? Right now it's set so that garbage time occurs anytime you have a lead of 20 plus in the fourth quarter. But why not add a drop-down menu that allows you to start garbage time at 8 minutes to go in the 4th quarter or 6 minutes to go in the 4th quarter or 4 minutes to go in the 4th quarter?

It seems silly having all of my starters taken out of the game early in the fourth quarter, but it also seems silly to have my starters playing with under 4 minutes to go with a 25-point lead.

I guess what I'm getting at, is why does it have to be all or none? It's either garbage time for the whole fourth quarter or no garbage time for the whole 4th quarter. Can we meet in the middle somewhere?
