True, it would be quite a workload. I know many people have volunteered to help scout all the divisions for the new draft. The hard part will be definatly going through each of the IV to find the possible players to track.

Yeah, I took down most of the later division IV teams because I was bored last draft lol. Generally, there were only 2 teams in each conference though that weren't bot so it didnt take THAT long. Doing all 16 division III leagues would be pretty tough time consuming though. I will do division IV 1-8 to start off and then keep moving up if nobody takes the other leagues and I have time

I will organize plans until RIP has his say. Here is a list of which divisions people have chosen to scout for prospects. Mogul and Aston are in bold because I chosen the divisions they will scout. As of right now I will scout the rest of division IV until we get more volunteers or someone else decides tot ake on my responsiblity. I will message managers soon to confirm that they will be scouting these divisions.

chris902 - Naismith
Greerzilla - II.1 - II.4
ShaneOJak - III.1 - III.8
The Mogul - III.9 - III. 12
AstonMidhurst - III.13 - III.16
Griffin - IV.1 - IV.8
O-Rod - IV.9 - IV.16
*Shaneojak - IV. 17 - IV.64*
*subject to change*

I wanted to give my input about the season 11 draft.

Since the first season I began playing BB, I have invested $40k per week in the scouting of players. In the beginning, I believe that this was a worthwhile investment.

However, to invest $40k per week now looks like it is not worth it based on the results of the league.

In the 2.2, 7 players have a current 5 star rating. Of the players scouted twice, none of these has a potential rating greater than 3.

15 of the 48 players scouted, or nearly 1/3, have a current star rating of 2 or less.

Since the start of BB, the 2.2 has gotten stronger every year with more people playing the game and managing teams rather than the BOT's. With a lack of talent available, it looks like it would be better to pick up a possible training prospect on the transfer wire and leave the draft to the luck of the draw.

BB - says that the draft selection is random. I sort of agree. But if you look at some of the other draft results over the past few seasons, the third and fourth divisions seem to be getting - on average - a better selection of prospects. I can see this intended to promote a better chance for the lower clubs to compete...but..c'mon. The best prospects in our draft, in theory, will be relegated with their teams.

That is my thought....so next season it will truly be a draft lottery for my team!

Interesting thought... On the other hand, I don't want to be a dick, but if you want to continue the discussion can you start another thread? I would appreciate it if this one was just for season 11 draft scouting.

Thanks.

Ok the draft is done, but don't start scouting yet until the leagues have been updated and the teams have been relegated and promoted.

You and just about everyone else in Naismith. ;-)

A general comment to everyone: do not send me the skills of your drafted players. Any such message will go directly into my trash can. If you really want to help, sign up for the scouting efforts here.

Yeah, I scouted all the non-relegated Naismith teams already and there isn't much exciting happening there... yuck. Maybe the bottom four got some good prospects, though. I'll send in the complete list when the promoted teams show up.
