aite fellas, never been one to complain about a sim really but, c'mon, how did i lose that game? check out these stats:

i played inside offense. my inside offense to their inside defense proficiency differential - +2.33 grades.

they played balanced offense. their total offense vs my total defense proficiency differential - +1 grade.

combined rebounding and offensive flow differential - -0.33 grades.

same effort. expected point differential ≈ +24 points.

lost by 12 ≈ 36 point swing from expected outcome.

more points of wtfness:

-their starting pf fouled out only 30 minutes into the game, putting in a 5.0 player in the stead of a 13.0 player, should be a huge advantage for me, having a 10.5 player as a matchup, especially playing an inside offense

-pg/sg shots - 36. pf/c shots - 37. playing an inside offense. why? how?

-18 3s playing an inside offense. again, why?

-mcgee dropped 71 on liutvickas, over 50% from field, 50% from 3. mcgee gs - respectable. liutvickas gs - strong. not gonna give away exact number, but liutvickas is a pretty damn good defender, especially outside. don't mean to downplay mcgee or whatever, but i'm almost certain there's a reason liutvickas is the more expensive player by 6k weekly. how on earth?

-enrici playing center had 8 total shots, 2 from 3pt range. first off, why 2 3s? why only 8? only 6 interior shots. kunka had 4 fouls in the 1st half, and my c only gets 8 shots? playing an inside offense?

-backup guard plays 4 minutes total, takes 6 shots. is there a reason for that? again, inside offense.

-44% from the field, despite playing an inside offense and having a 2.33 grade proficiency advantage.

-starter minutes - 209. bench minutes - 31. why? i have one of the best benches in the league, why only 31 minutes? i was looking for more like 55-65?

can someone explain to me how i lost that game?

Well believe me the BB game engine can be very unforgiving and for random reasons. First before i dive into what i see looking at the numbers and breakdown... Let me say this the " BB variable" accounts for trying to add realism to the game. The fact that like in the NCAA tournament a 14 seed beats a 3 seed. or the 76ers beat the Cavs or Warriors one game. So it sucks when it happens to you but thats the BB variable that anyone can beat anyone on any given day.

To the game analysis from my perspective.

Ok lets just look over the box scores without looking at the ratings. 1st quarter you were up 11 and shooting 14-25 55% FGs. He was 9-21 FGs. The stats literally flipped in the second quarter. My guess is your key guys have low stamina ratings? its the only way to explain the drastic shooting drought you had and the lack of defense. In the 3rd quarter (both teams are fresh so no stamina penalty) you hold him to just 14 points. But then in the 4th quarter you give up 39 points. In BB i always notice teams that give up a lot of points in the 2nd & 4th quarter have players with low stamina. i dont think you were thoroughly dominated as you made it sound. You had 2 bad quarters. Again yes maybe on paper your guy should be better than his guy, but it happens players have big games. Mcgee had a huge game. their team shot 50% overall had very limited turnovers, rebounded well, and didn't over foul. sounds like the ingredients for a win to me man.

sorry it sucks but i can't see 1 thing that i say man he got screwed on this or that. and how your team coaches is a simulation.

They dont have a statline for it. I just go and click replay of the game and then add 12 mins fastward and calculate FG%, 3FG%, FT%. For every quarter. Which then gives you your stats per half. and then i look at what lineups are on the floor primarily during those quarters and figure out who's my best defenders or poorest and why (fatigue, matchup, etc)

Yeah, without giving it away, again, the lowest stamina player on my team is 5, and average is 7 or 8. I'd imagine that's actually one of the better numbers in the league, it's how I add some value to my players without adding cost. The fact that odds are my stamina is likely significantly higher, and my bench is significantly better and deeper, adds to my frustration.

Well my last 2 losses have been to you. And then to Marshland. So i am not toooo sure what to think about this upcoming game. However I do agree home court is a big advantage but last season i had home court throughout. And i do believe it helped in our game but in the championship game it didn't matter. now granted i did have an injury occur in the championship. I am sure it will be another good game between us. Probably more of a mental edge to the team that wins more than anything. And its not promise of homecourt. Lots of things happen in BB.
