Ok wow just wow. I'm beginning to get that feeling that I could do something incredible, something virtually no team has ever done in Australian BB before... make the Finals with a salary floor team ;). Seriously, this great 8 conference just became a lot weaker with the Melbourne Sharks getting replaced, and judging by my wins so far I might just have the 'salary efficient' team to do the job. Moosa's Mad Men stands in my way, but will he be able to manage game shape and enthusiasm properly? Time will tell.

That would be off the wall! Like to meet you in the finals. Great win for me vs the Supreme Team, their arena, less effort, who is supreme now baby?

I stopped checking this forum last season and just noticed that we finally have some action. It will be good to feel like I am playing real people. Last season could have been a league of bots for all I knew it was that quiet here.

Yeah baby you've got some big time ballers in this league now so I think things are going to be heating up a lot in the old 3-1. Think you could be the team to beat so we will sure be checking you.

Not counting my chickens before they hatch. I thought I could win last season and I am still here.

You can be sure that I already know all about all of the contenders.

Your top player gets paid more money each week than my entire team does and that surely makes you one of the favourites to win the league outright... but do beware that my team plays way, way above their wages and will give you 2-3 tough match-ups this season. I have 'Small Forwards of Unusual Size' instead of actual bigmen and guards ;).

That simply backs up what I said. I may be one of the favorites as I was last season, but I am still here. It doesn't mean everything as you pointed out. You will be making a lot more money than I am so if I don't promote soon you will be well funded to make a very serious challenge.

TIE'ing that game proved to be risky for you. Worked out for you in the end, but Porto didn't have a good night against Bradbury (was guarding PG on defence).

The return fixture could be interesting; It's likely you'll have the #1 seed and I'll have the #2 seed both secured by then, in which case I'd probably TIE to improve my playoff odds... but if either seed is still in doubt, HCA could prove to be a real equaliser for my squad (also by then some of my players will have improved because of training).

I won and improved my enthusiasm. I didn't need to win by any more than what I did. I will take that. The Season isn't won and lost in round 7. I see no reason to put in any more effort than what I did. I didn't even look at tactics or your team before the game. You can guarantee that when it gets to playoff time I will know all about them if I need to. Porto had a 14 rating game in a TIE win. That is not bad. His stats weren't the best but maybe you should worry about Rondon next time.

If I am a game plus enough points ahead by round 22 I doubt any of my better players will even take the court so I don't think the return fixture will be interesting. We are in the weak conference. There are some very good teams over in the Big 8. When we get back to playing each other after the next 7 rounds the landscape could be very different.

Everyone will have improved through training by the finals, not just your team.

It's my belief that match ratings should really be taken with a grain of salt and things like match up ratings and the actual box score are better ways to determine who played well. What I saw was your point guard having some difficulties against my #1 defender. Sure, that allowed Rondon to score 41 against my #2 defender, but hey it's Patient offence: somebodies going to go off no matter how I defend against it.

You are by far the best team in the Great 8, nobodies going to argue that fact, and no amount of salary efficiency and tactics were going to help me win an away game against your team. I consider the fact that I 'only' lost by 14 to be a good result for my team all things considered.

Also... I wouldn't be so sure about everyone having improved through training by the finals. Look at your team for example; I only see one player there that I'd call 'training material' (Hannabuss).

Look at the rest of the teams. My point was they will all improve. If you are just aiming to beat me then maybe you have a point.

We just have different tactics as far as training goes. With trainees I don't worry about the draft. I pick them up after the all star week and make sure they Aussies. If you want to win and promote it is hard to train more than 2. I am training Rondon as well at the moment to tweak a few areas while looking for my next trainee.

Best of luck. I hope you improve and it is a close finals series. We don't player to thump everyone each week.
