Wow, my next cup opponent has 51 players on the roster. I have never seen a team with that many players before. Of course it is a bot. And the 30 players they do show are all scrubs. 51 players, did that guy think it was quantity over quality? Not surprised it's a bot. Should be an easy win, but if it turns into a blood bath, I'm out numbered by 40 players LOL

I wonder how that worked out exactly. Who has enough interest to purchase 30+ players but not enough to play the game? It's nice to have a good cup match, though!

The team has probably been a bot for a while and it has just collected many seasons worth of draft picks.

That makes perfect sense. As all the players are low level. I'm just surprised that any team would go that long without having someone at some point take it over. Should be an easy win, unless there is an all out brawl on the court. They do have almost five to one advantage. LOL

Just took a look at the league. Every team is a bot and they all have 51 players. Some of every roster are guys who are in their late 30's through like mid 40's.

Selling the team and starting a true rebuild. There are some high quality players for reasonable prices if anyone wants them (I would prefer to not have to face some of those guys though lol).

Should have caught me when I had a load of cash. I have made a number of moves already trying to bolster my line up. Several of my moves are not long term fixes. Just some added pop I am hoping, and to add a bit more depth at a few weak spots. That is the plan and what I was thinking. Not saying that is what is going to happen though. We all know our grand plans seem to be like a sand castle at the edge of the water.

True rebuilds are a big commitment, it can be accelerated with cash, though.

What do you think your emphasis is going to be? Are you going to train from scratch, or pick up a young, but developed and trainable core, and go from there? The journey of the rebuild can be quite fun. When I played BB with my first squad, I started in Season 8 and eventually promoted a couple of times and spent some competitive seasons in Div III. When I opted for a true rebuild, I signed my own death warrant, lol. I dropped into a really good Div IV, combined with a real-life career change, and dropped BB altogether. You'll probably do a great job, however.

This time around I have managed to keep two of my core players from day one, Rucker and Muller. It's been kinda fun to watch them develop over the past year.

I'll take Bearden and Papp off your hands if you don't mind spotting me the cash LOL. It's only 2 plus million, chump change right? Good luck with the rebuild. I never can stay patient long enough to do a bottom up rebuild. I always have the intention but then get side tracked cause look OH shiny. I am making a bid this season to try and win it all. Since a number of usually suspects are building, could be the time. That is one of the reasons I picked up some older help. Guys I usually wouldn't look at. But the price was right at the time. We will see if my gamble pays off or I end up shredding the team at the end of the season.

I'm thinking some 18/19 yo guys with hall of fame potential and maybe one or two more developed young guys that will keep me from regulating and investing in a good trainer

If Bearden doesn't sell then I will keep him and just do a rebuild in my front court with some young guys with potential
