Will Rockford push through to the championship after last season's disappointing final, or does Chronic Pain finally move up?

Rockford has the edge on PD and most likely HCA so I would have to give them the slight edge.

Good chance that your right. Disappointing that it only looks like a two team race. Doubtful that I will even make the second round.

Brutal final night for The Golden Bricks. From 3rd to 5th. Chronic Pain was clearly the class of the Great 8, but after them this was one of the most competitive seasons I have experienced in BB.

Eh, 5th buys me an extra training game and an extra gate receipt as even if I won I'd have been 4th and I wasn't beating Chronic Pain. And since Powehouses hasn't been on since early December there isn't much risk of demotion.

Good points. I wasn't trying to roast you or anything, just that I haven't seen such movement on the last day of the season very often.

I wrote a simple script to pull the top teams within a division in an effort to determine the pecking order for bot promotion. It was more useful while in D IV because then the top 16 non-promoting teams promoted, while in D III it's only the top 4.

However, with Chronic Pain's early exit, I thought it might be useful to run. There are 13 conference winners with 2 or fewer losses in D III, and III.10 has 2 of them. Currently 2 of the teams are eliminated and I've highlighted them in bold.

If 7 of the top 10 teams make and win the finals, then Chronic Pain still might end up promoting to D II even with the early playoff loss.

Quick update, all of the remaining 2 or fewer loss teams advanced to the finals, so Chronic Pain remains #2 in bot promotion order right now.

The 5 teams ahead of them with the toughest matchups in their respective finals (strictly by record) are:

III.6 - Cyborgs. Opponent's record is 19-3
III.12 - Swamp Things. Opponent's record is 19-3
III.4 - Florida Champs. Opponent's record is 18-4
III.3 - BucsBlue Lob City. Opponent's record is 16-6
III.10 - Rockford. Opponent's record is 16-6

Congratulations to Rockford on winning and on Chronic Pain on their bot promotion. Best of luck to both of you in D II.

Thanks for this info btw. Glad to see Chronic out of the Great 8, gives the rest of a better chance to promote in S45!
