I have a question that has troubled me for some time. Why does there always seem to be one bad quarter in a game that decides the outcome? Obviously, where our game was concerned it was the 3rd. Other than that it was a pretty even contest for the rest of the way. Your team is superior, and should have won the game by more, but how does one avoid that letdown that screws the rest of the game up.

I agree, this is the most stacked I've seen this league since I've been here. There's legitimately 5+ teams I could see winning it. I'll probably definitely take you up on some training advice or coaching advice at some point! Thank you for reaching out. I fear my window to win this league may have passed. I should've freaking CT in the semis last season. Damn it lol.

Lol well I meant more of tactics/gameplanning in terms of GE. The GE itself is wonky and there is a lot of mechanics we’ll never fully understand. But I’ll try to answer your question. From my understanding the outcomes of games are already decided before we can see them “live”. So essentially we are just watching replays of what happened when we are watching “live”, the final score has already been computed. That’s why you will see a lot of weird stuff happening in game. The GE is trying to piece together events that will lead up to the final score that has already been determined. A certain stretch of play may appear to be weird or just outright bizarre as the GE works it’s way there and even look like it’s “fixed” for one team or the other.

I think ideally the BBs should look into the GE and try to make it more consistent so that these type of things don’t happen as often. Sure.. in real life basketball some outrageous things can happen but I don’t think as frequently as we see in this game. Idk how difficult it would be for them to change that though or even if it’s worth it. Like I said there is a lot about the GE we don’t know and will never know.

I can only see 5 teams winning it tbh. And no offense to the great 8, some good teams over there. But all 5 teams I could see winning it are in our conference lol. So.. it’ll definitely be an interesting race to the playoffs this season.

Also, what Orlando said, every game is already decided before you watch it live. The final score is what it determines. Everything in between is random. So no real rhyme or reason to having one bad quarter and 3 real good ones. A lot of times you’ll see patterns. Like you outscore them q1, they outscore you in q2, you outscore them in q3 and they outscore you in q4. Or you take q2 and 3 and they take q1 and 4. Just random stuff. That’s what is so irritating about the game sometimes. Fouling out. Getting injured.

I'm strongly considering blowing my team up after that loss. We're good enough to make the playoffs but we are not good enough to win the championship. The Great 8 is too stacked. I believe there's three teams better than mine, and I want to get the most money that I can for my players before they age another year.

Yeah I agree honestly, I am currently in a massive rebuilding stage so at the moment I am just holding my spot in the league for a few seasons. I have this plan set out to where in about 3 seasons I am going to make a big push to be at the top and hopefully take the league but as of now I am just going to float around in the middle, lol. Good luck to all teams in the Great 8 xD

I just want to know how I got so lucky to draw the top 3 teams in the conference to start the season..

And I hate to see you rebuild. Was looking forward to going against you in the playoffs

I was not looking forward to facing you in the playoffs lol. You crushed me at home. The score was closer than the game was. I was down 14 after the first quarter. And there is no way we were beating Orlando lol

I have a question about the fickle BuzzerBeater fans. When a team promotes, the fans are generally excited no matter how the team does in its first year in the league. Last season the AOL made the playoffs, but fan support trickled away as the season progressed. I have tried to follow the advice found in the forums and have built up a pretty healthy arena, but it seems the fans aren't into the team anymore. I have my ticket prices set at almost the minimum, and I still don't sell out. Granted, we don't have a flashy scorer that averages 30+ a game, but the defense is serviceable and we're usually competitive.

It's frustrating to only sell 19000 out of 30000 seats at minimum pricing while the team is, for the moment, in contention for a playoff spot.

Any advice would be most appreciated.

The general rule of thumb for stadiums are 15000/5000/500/50.

I hate to break it to you but unfortunately you wasted money on building a 30000 arena. Not even NBBA teams have that big of a stadium
