7. Frosty BC - 9-6

i really was counting on being 10-5 at this point, but i blew it with a road loss against homeboyz. it puts me in a somewhat precarious position, but i'd really like to maintain a playoff seed if at all possible. as you might've noticed, that might be asking a lot, considering the changes we're currently undergoing. selling 3 starters and 2 backups is serious business. by playoff time, we'll not be a good team, but that's ok. i'm tired of the perpetual mediocrity my rank reflects. time for a change. and oh yeah, did you guys know i'm in the final 32 in the cup? wheres the love yo?

8. Space von Jam - 7-8

svj hasn't been performing up to their expectations, i'm sure manager texas would agree. being in a playoff spot isn't such a bad thing, but the up and coming ballstars are hot on their heels, and they're 2 games back from the 3 seed coming down the stretch. their superstar pg augustin stoebner has been the team's light in the darkness, averaging a league 2nd best 27.5 ppg. they haven't beaten a single team ranked ahead of them, so it's difficult to see them doing any real damage in the playoffs, but they'll no doubt be fighting for seeding, and #3 isn't out of reach for them.

9. Ballstars - 7-8

they've been great this season. my guess is this is right where they wanted to be. they're out of a playoff spot only by way of pd, and that's only 17 points, easily made up. they're coming fresh off a huge road win against the reeling eclipse, and are ready to make their playoff run. recent acquisition dobrociech orłowski has been a standout performer for them, leading the league in assists. while they're still a couple starters away from solidifying their starting lineup, that's really not too far away for them. i doubt they harbor any illusions of advancing in the playoffs this season, though.

10. BucsBlue Lob City - 6-9

10th in record only, you'd expect them to climb rapidly in this final third of the season. with their lineup as it is now, they can beat pretty much anyone. the early season pains seem to be paying off for bucsblue fans at last. you'd think they're holding out for 1 more acquisition, probably coming this offseason. tompkins is being tompkins, hilton is coming along nicely it seems, and new superstar korbukov has fit right into this team. they have diamantes and homeboyz this next week, and both had better watch out.

11. Mitsubishi Eclipse - 6-9

not the season manager tomasis14 had in mind, that's for sure. currently in relegation series position and a newly bolstered bucsblue squad looking down on them, it looks like that's exactly what they'll be faced with at season's end. on the other hand, winning that series shouldn't be too much of an issue. when their starting 5 have played, they've been extremely competitive for the most part, but they've slipped a bit in minutes management, which seems the product of a depth issue.

12. Crosstown United - 4-11

a sharp dropoff here, crosstown haven't had the season they were hoping for, either. if not for j&e going on a firesale and having injury issues, they'd be in huge danger of getting relegated. their 8 man roster has had some trouble maintaining proper minutes, and foul trouble has lost them a few games. it's not all bad for them, though. mcgee has done his point scoring thing, as per usual, and colin is 3rd in league apg. odds are, if they beat the stiforms 5s, they'll be sticking around for at least another season.

13. the stiforms 5s - 4-11

speak of the devil, the stiform 5s find themselves in deep trouble. indications are this is pretty much what the manager was expecting, and that's alright. they beat crosstown earlier in the season. if they can repeat that performance, they just might be able to win a relegation series. they'll want to manage their minutes a bit better, though, because game shape is starting to take its toll on their squad.

14. J&e - 3-12

boy this team has had a really rough season. so many injuries, and it seems like they just threw in the towel and sold their older players. really not a bad move, but you would think they'd have had a decent chance to win their relegation series had they not sold. early in the season, they beat the eclipse, so that tells you they had some talent there. as it stands, their game shape is atrocious and i think the manager is just trying to put this season behind him and move onto next season in d4.

15. Walnut Streets - 2-13

who would've guessed this at the beginning of the season? the other streets have wiped their slate clean and started fresh. they made a pair of expensive recent transfers that should help immensely. if they can get their game shape up quickly, all is not lost for walnut. their squad is easily good enough to beat either relegation representatives from the red conference. all they need to do is beat j&e and win 1 other game and they're alive. it'll be tough to overcome that point differential right now, they may have to do it with wins. have they dug a hole too deep? we'll find out, this one will be exciting.

16. Mof State Squizzes - 0-15

the squizzes packed it in before the season started. good luck to them in the future. hope the training of sloan is going well. it's a promising prospect.

Always a good write up Frosty!!!! I have been busy but i am in the midst of putting together mid season awards for individual players... and begin looking at things like MVP race? and Rookie of the Year... If there is a 1st year player (18 or 19) that is actually a contributor to his team......

also have to give 1st and 2nd All league awards (midseason of course)

my guess is he's going to play sg and keep gybels at sf, and maybe next season he'll just sell gybels. juuuuuuust guessing.
