Check out the Panama vs. South Africa U21 scrimmage (14985), my guy Martinez was on the court for 4 minutes and had a +/- of +13! If he played the entire game Panama would have won by 156 points :P

You were a legend in South Africa, why did you leave?

yes, I remember you probably!

I decided to leave as I pushed SA very high (best ever) and prepared to further African Cup victory. The problem there was that community is incredibly small (13 mgrs now, highest ever), new draft rules allow bots to pick good players, and the basis of players is terribly minimal, no way to develop a good team. Current situation is horrible, may be as Samuraj haven't pushed on training as my staff and me did, surely because in the last draft of my mandate the number of 200cm+, star or above, IS+ID+RB at least 12 was ... ONE!

In other words, with my staff we decided to try where there were more opportunities. I tried twice in Malaysia (and I am actively part of that community now) against historical coach, 8-8 and less seniority first time, 17-12 now, pushing ahead the community (and cooperating with them). I cooperated with Italy NT coach to redesign Italy organization (great success, we boosted our players), and eventually cooperated with other countries, including current SA coach (never forget SA!). May be something will happen next few days and will make my season rather busy, let's see...

Now I am sort of ronin of coaches, enjoying giving some contributions to active communities to increase their effectiveness. You can remember what I did in SA, that is why I firmly believe 50-100 mgrs countries can do quite a lot.

edit: BTW I should add one day or the other India flag to my flag list (50+)

wow so you're one of the super experienced managers with regards to NT business. Really great to know that you are hanging around with us :) Hopefully you will stick to us and share some knowledge to further enhance our team!

P.S. I will send you a scrimmage request once I'm out of the national tournament.

you born newbie and you stay newbie: my signature is what happened in my last club season

I discovered India some time ago and was silent, but a recent business travel to Asia stimulated me a lot. I expect to stay here for a while at least

P.S. I will send you a scrimmage request once I'm out of the national tournament.

Great. I do hope for both that will be very late this season ;)

We're building a lot of enthusiasm in India with plenty of activity in our forums. Hopefully, this will translate into better player retention and eventually better teams.

So, can we have a little recap of your staff Yoda? =)

I'm very pleased to see that India is knowing a decent development and that people are contributing on the forums. That's really pleasant. Hope to see you guys (Prashant, BBall Champ, Jay_m for example) more often!

I will try to get the list organised later tonight. I have two of my friends from Australia who are willing to help one of whom is fairly new but enthusiastic, and the other has trained big men forthe Australian U21 team and as I have never trained big men I thought he would be very useful. We will be quite international. At the moment it looks like three people from India, three from Australia, one from USA and a bit of help from a special person from Thailand!

Some day we must have a chat about Thailand. I have been there about 5 times but funny, unlike most Australians I have never been down south to Puket etc. I live walking distance from a world class beach so the idea of going overseas for a beach holiday would be odd.

G'day to all.

I am one of the Aussies yoda is looking at adding to his staff, so it is probably a good idea that I make myself known. I am the one that has the big training experience, so if anyone wants any preliminary advice feel free to bb-mail me. A more open training discussion will be set-up once yoda has decided exactly how he wants to run his staff.

I had a quick look through the India forums while the elections were on and it looks like a there is a good community. I also think yoda is a great choice for an u21 manager and with the support of the community here there will be some good successes.

Great to have you onboard Rob and I think you will have a great asset to us. Someone who has trained a player up to the high standards the Aussie U21 teams demands will be an awesome addition to our staff.

Ok here are the staff for season 16 so far. I am still happy to add more later.

Yodabig - U21 Coach and mentor. Australia.
Prashant - Publicity and promotion. India.
BBall champ - Scout and mentor. India.
Rebel Without A Clue - Scout and mentor. USA.
Samurai_Tungi - Assistant Coach and mentor. India.
robhoe - Big man expert and mentor. Australia.
Matty8 - Apprentice and mentor. Australia.

As long as no-one objects and maybe he should change his name to just U21 scout BlackMouse would be a great asset. We will be aware that he will be working for several teams, most wont be a problem, Italy, South Africa and Ghana are fine, however Malaysia is a big issue we will need to discuss.

BlackMouse(Italy U21 scout) - PG Expert and mentor. Italy.

Also associated.
N#23 - Indian Senior NT Coach and special tactical consultant. Thailand.
LA-höfðingi [U21 þjálfari Ísland] - former coach and advisor. Iceland.

So that would be 10 people involved with our team which would be fantastic. That is the current plan.

Each mentor would take a few players, as many as they feel good about and in their area of speciality (so robhoe would tke some big men, BlackMouse some PGs etc) and just talk to and support their coaches, ensure they are being trained and report back to us from time to tie on the progress.

It would be great if all of us could join the offsite forum as I have posted the exact details of the players there so we can have a menaingful discussion about them.

So click here and get started:
