Man-Jimaru> don't u forget sth? a speech maybe? ;)

ezlife> I wasn't convinced by some tactics you chose
ie when u put a blank lineup and let the coach decide
seeing my young pg on sf position gimme headaches
he appeared to be outmatched all the time
can u explain that choice plz?

evryone can give his point of view ;)

If you pg plays at sf in the blank line up, that means he'll best serve the team in that position according to the game engine.

He could eventually play better at pg, but there is no available sf to play better than he would do at sf. On the other hand, there are plenty of pgs that can come close to what he would do at his natural position.

Anyway, I just tested the blank line ups to see what the game engine thinks about this team. Game engine choses what would be best for the team without taking the opponent in consideration. This is why I'll not use this tactic in a game that matters.

Makes sense?

YODABIG
Mr. ezlife, your campaign seems to have the momentum of a runaway freight train. Why are you so popular?

EZLIFE
Ooh, a tough question but a fair one. yodabig, there's no single answer. Some voters respond to my integrity, others are more impressed with my incorruptibility. Still others buy my determination to lower taxes. And the bureaucrats in the state capital can put that in their pipes and smoke it!

I really think this team is capable of some great upsets. But since I don't really know the skills I can only assume that there have been huge improvements over the time I was in the NT.

The team has a very good sg and some satisfying centers..
On the other hand our opponents aren't very worthy either..i mean judging by their salaries of course..we'll see..

Stay cool..

was fairly new last election with the seniour nt but im voting this time.We lost every single game last season no offense but shouldnt you step down and see how it goes.I believe there was a guy before bainsy who set up a platform for the Seniour NT and stepped down thats when bainsy stepped in isnt??Maybe you did the same but lost every game.

i think it is pretty tough to judge ezlife's performance as a U21 NT manager on the teams performances in the World Cup, this is due to the fact that Africa is the weakest continental and thus when an African team makes the World Cup they are severely overpowered by bigger nation, with the exception of maybe Msir who would be at home in some of the other continents. If ezlife is to be judged on his performances it would be more appropriate in my view to use the season before when we made the semi's of the African Championships as the level of competition is closer to our own.

anyway have fun deciding who to vote for.

As you said, it isn't really fair for ez to be judged like that. Many here know that when I was coaching the NT, we had a severe disadvantage because our team was old. Every week some of the most important players skills went down and I was stranded on what to do. Still, we got to the 2nd round and went to the repechage. Although I admit personal reasons got in the way of me coaching the NT in a serious way, I'm kind of proud of what I accomplished. And ez should be too. With the kind of players he had, he did the best he could. And us, of all people, shouldn't criticise because almost none of us know what it's like to coach a National Team.

i guess you missed the part i acknowledged that he did a good job mostly the behind the scenes job during that run of losses. All im saying is he suffered a lot of losses as a manager and like i said it in the most maybe he should reconsider his position.its not so much as criticism as i left it up to him to decide and answer. My saying this doesnt mean i wont vote for him or i'll vote for him ,just looking for some answers really.

Well mate I'm gonna tell you the truth: I've already reconsidered my position as the manager of this team. I've a successful team on my own and I don't need to take care of the SA U21.

However, I had fun winning a few games here and there with a team that is ways below the average. I sort of like the community you guys got and I also enjoy talking with bainsy about tactics and players. I play buzzerbeater for fun and I have fun here, too; so why not have another run at it?

Now you want some answers:

1. I challenge any manager to win more games than I did over the last 2 seasons.

2. SA has an average of 10 users (most are not even "active"), that gives you 30 draftees per season. Among these, 5-6 have a decent potential for the U21. That gives you a pool of 20-24 players to deal with. Half of these have for sure not recieved the training to compete at this level. My job is to make a team with what's left. Sometimes, I don't even get half decent guards or big men (due to the randomness of the heights in the draft). Consider we played last season against teams like Spain, over 3'500 active users; make it a pool of over 10'000 draftees per season (!). There are a lot of things you can argue with, but not this.

3. I shall remind you that you made the mistake 4 seasons ago: I signed up for the election and you (SA managers) voted for another runner. He went bot after barely a few weeks. I answered a GM's call a season later to take over the team. You got a stable manager willing to run the team. I want to say, don't let it go.

I had a nice run during those 3 seasons and I'd not be upset not being re-elected. I'm leaving the most talented U21 team this country has ever had to the next manager. You got the ball in your hands, make wise decisions.

I hope that answers some of your questions.

PS: thanks for your support fellas, I appreciate.
