Why would I CT? I was playing a team with just 6 players. A freak injury and a foul out gives me at least a chance. While CT probably increases that likelihood, it negatively impacts my team's chances to reach the Finals, with a more favorable conference final matchup. Ultimately, I saw it as losing either way. But on the off chance I won, I would have been better equipped to advance to the Finals by not going CT.

well, i mean... yeah, just that.

plus ct just makes you play better overall, giving you a better chance to win. for that same reason, i'd probably try to play an inside offense. idk about you guys but i've found you're more likely to draw fouls playing an inside offense, and more likely to get fouled shooting inside shots.

idk, i guess if it were me in that situation, staring down bucsblue in the first round, i'd just try to win the round and advance to make the fans happy and make a little more money. i mean yeah gaining that extra enthusiasm for the next round would certainly be advantageous, but i'd cross the bridge of my next round opponent when i got to it. to each their own, though. i understand the rationale.

Yeah, wow...that was a surprise to find this morning! Welcome though! Perhaps the team was already coded to relegate when the end season processing takes place.

If it's a team that went bot but got replaced, and they don't otherwise relegate (via finishing 8th or losing a relegation series), they'll be back next season. There's also going to be very little bot promotion to II since at least three bots in II this season have been replaced in the past couple of weeks - which also means that you'll maybe see a brand new team from II demote into the league rather than pick up another good IV team.

I think that is wrong way to do this...so if a D1 team went bot there is a chance a new team would start there?
I just think it would cause a new manager to leave the game than stay (and build up from D4)

It's a recent change - when a team signs up they have the choice to choose high, medium or low level, and a team that chooses "high" can be placed as high as II. They're recommended to not choose high, but of course, that doesn't mean they won't.

Thanks for the explanation. Certainly brings a new element to the game.

One more question about the change: Is the startup money different based on the level they choose?
