uhhm I don't know if I should try to beat the Dawgs or Werewovles...It's tempting to try and hand Dawgs their only loss..but I've got a lot better chance at beating the London.........

Forgot to mention I chose to vs London because I love having a strong showing right before none of my guys get into All star break =D

huh news to me I don't have very good guards or know anything about the game at all I'll have to keep this in mind... I won't take great 8 lightly from now ... I am kinda surprised haven't been exposed more often since I am such a noob :3

Very few people pay attention to the meta until you get into the higher Div's. =) and most ignore it anyway just to try and Pound the hell out of it into submission..like *cough* Dawgs *cough*....just get crazy stats and laugh it up ;)

First win for Shooting stars..and I got a 30 point loss. If only my offense could score 60 points a game against decent defenses... heh

4 games decided by 5 points or fewer. Awesome. The Wisco-Mt. Olive game was an upset for sure. I'm surprised I could hold off the Tootsies with them putting more effort in, but I got away with it. *whew!*

I didn't play my top lineup last night, and I played TIE . . . AND it was a 2 point game at half!! (My boys seem to play much better in the second half for some reason . . .). Just because I ain't that smart . . . Kaile, what do you mean when you refer to the 'meta'? Thanks.

Bottom line . . . the Great 8 is VASTLY improved over last year (and we miss Mustache Men on our side with his crazy inside OD stats).

Meta= mechanices or at the very least that's what I was refering to. Specifically the hidden counters that I like to call it. For instance. OD actually does counter inside scoring. The meta is mostly the hidden tweaks in the game engine that aren't explained in the 'manual'. While stats are great and getting them actually does help there are ways around getting bruisers. For instance a balanced player vs a player who is heavily trained in a few attributes have similiar DMI ( in most cases..since the main skills have heavier affects on DMI) While they perform at different levels there are things I like to look at that I call "hidden effects"..for instance a team who have an average of say Respectable passing on the floor gains a significant boost in scoring that doesn't show in the stats. They are more likely to complete their baskets as well. And I am starting to think that having higher passing affects offensive rebounds too ( You see this in real life where a "shot" was actually just a bad pass that they took for the dunk)

I've got plenty of ideas that I'm willing to share but I don't want to rant too long. Let me know what you think.
