my god, i can't believe i won! i'm so happy i can't even tell ya. so happy i wrote a song about the game to the tune of 'hokey pokey':

you put your starters in
you take your backups out
you play run or motion
and you make it a shootout
if you win all of your cup games
you can turn your team around

that's what it's all about!

Hahaha...nice...

I'm a little bummed I didn't have the same luck. I thought I might steal one too.

I was surprised my opponent played most of his first team that were defensive beasts--my team only made I think 2 FGs in the first period.

Since I had the greater enthusiasm, despite getting run out of the gym in the first, my team was able to draw a lot of fouls and keep in the game at the FT line. Got one of his big 3 players to foul out but couldn't quite get another.

When Tremol went down late in the 3rd, it got a lot tougher and couldn't cut it closer than 5. I think had the injury not occurred the result would have been different.

Tough one. And he's out for 2 weeks, but I get last year's breakout rookie Cooper back. Not exactly a good trade, but considering I really only have 2 true centers, I had no idea who I would have been able to play at the 5 besides Odion.

Bad cup loss for me. Should have won that easily. If I hadn't TIE'd I would have. In retrospect coming up to the ASG I should have.

Wow. I wouldn't expect an upper-division III team to CT another in the Cup.

Well getting closer to the All-star Break the league has done a great job in the cup! 8 teams still in the cup hunt and 4 from each side shows the strength of our league. As of right now the Big 8 (OUR SIDE!) has gotten the best of the Great 8 in the interleague games. However the Top team Lam-lam-lam has a chance to get a few games back for the Great 8 by beating our #2 & #3 team. Best of luck this week to all teams. Stay healthy!!! I repeat STAY HEALTHY!!! this is a critical time to get an injury. So i wish that NO ONE fall to that injury bug late.

Back to being active again. RL was busy. My players GS is terrible as well as my teams enthusiasm, but I plan on stealing that final playoff spot in my conference and hopefully do some damage in the playoffs. :)

congrats to cheektowga for making the field of 64. that's a really good run. tough game against pyramid, but very winnable. a top 32 finish would be awesome.

good win tonight for frosty bc against taki boyz. wasn't expecting them to take it easy against me, didn't realize i was viewed as that small of a threat. not that i'm complaining, mind you. i'll take wins wherever i can get them. i actually came into the game expecting a very close contest. possible preview of the relegation series?

Thanks man. I appreciate it. I know this run is almost over, but hopefully I can squeeze out one more victory!

Heck of a run my friend! i came up 1 game short of the 64. But the good thing is it allows me to turn my focus strictly on this season. Because i am sure the top 3 teams on our side will be in for a couple more clashes before the season is over! congrats again man!!!

Thanks man! And that's a good point. I actually sacrificed skill training last week to pop game shape, since I thought I'd need to play my starters a third time in one week. I hate having to do that.

I'm looking forward to the last few games of the season...should be exciting!

Definite congrats Lew...yeah, the ASB week can be tricky, and as you say one of the 2-3 times during the season it might be worthwhile to train GS.

For teams not in the Cup, I took advantage of the week to play my key backups that may not get 48 minutes/week (primarily not trainees) to boost their game shape.

And glad to have Phantasm back active, even though they kicked the Streets teeth in last night.
