I would love to use an external forum to have more discussions and also to store the skill set, that not every manager has to start form scratch again. We have the same in Germany with folders for the age 18, 19, 20, 21, and 22+ and with subfolders for every position. I liked that a lot and could give a good start for the community.

The split in different "manageable groups" I see critical. With decreasing numbers of managers in BB overall, I don´t see the potential to recruit enough people. What I would suggest is, to have 1-3 scouts for every age class named above and position, for the 22+ maybe more. But the training in 22+ will go slower, so it is still possible to run it with 1-3 person per position. From my point of view this would work better with less people.

For the rewards, I started the Folder "Project Team Canada" where I listed the players with the amount of pops over the last season. I already have finished the seasons end list, I have just to put it in good format (which takes a while unfortunately). I hope to finish an update over the weekend. But a database like Music_Chick has proposed was also in my minds, but I am not the IT-man to do this on my own.

So, what do you, or the others think about that ?

I think you would be surprised just how many managers will be willing to help, especially since it takes only 30min or so bi-weekly. Plus we have a decent groups of veterans.

By my estimation, easily 10-20 managers would help out, that gives 100-200 trainees constantly followed.
I don't mind the idea of scouts. I do believe they need to have list of players assigned to them though. Users are rarely first to contact NT scouts, especially among newer users

Indeed, this is a surprising number. I know just the opposite: "Uh, that is so boring. " I just want to be the NT manager .. or nothing.

That´s why scouts usually contact the managers of the players directly after the scout - like in this week. We had always good response and if the connection is set, the managers often contact the scouts for question. But of course, if you can split it in more groups, that make live so much easier.

I think this is a great way to involve the community and would support it completely. Having more users in the know on what proper builds and player development looks like greatly increases the talent pool we draw from. To me this is one of the bigger issues - there are few Canadian users to start and even less that actually know how to train quality players.

this is a great idea, and one that I had envisioned too, but I guess didn't articulate correctly . The key here is dedication. I don't mean by me (because it's already implied I will be dedicated as Coach)... but if I become coach, it's important that the scouts/mentors not only say they are going to help, but stick to their words. Like you said, if even 5-10 managers dedicate themselves as scouts, we can not only keep track of evolution of players, but get currents plans and awareness out as soon as possible.

Lots of BB mails will ensue for sure!!! AS it's important for us to reach out to the owners and show our interest in their players.
