One way or another I will be glad not to have to face the loser of your cup game going forward.

Funny thing is that I was only going to try and get to round four because my roster is thin and I wanted the extra flexibility scrimmages give you... but I also wanted to go far enough to boost my fan survey a bit.

I guess I can hope he TIEs because I think I have some flexibility this season with enthusiasm.

Man oh man! I almost pulled off an upset of a Div II team without my best player. 4 points, so close!

Looks like a pretty good draw for most teams in the third round. All the Naismith teams have an easy path to Round 4. League 2 has a few battles this round. Game of the week will be:

24 Angels of Pwnage vs. 29 The Alexander Keiths

Angels of Pwnage (24875), Jenamen24

4-0, 1st place (Great 8, II.1, Canada)
(Differential +107, Pythagorean record: 3.8-0.2)

Roster: 12 players, Age 25.2, Salary 239.2K (19.9K/player)

Game strategy (6 competitive matches):
* Offense: Base Offense 6
* Defense: Man to Man 5, 2-3 Zone 1
* Enthusiasm: 3 less (0 TIE vs CT), 3 equal, 0 more (0 CT vs TIE)

Overall stats (max bbstat: 100 (20415550) vs Undertow):
* ANG: 46.3 FG%, 37.5 3P%, 65.7 REB (18.3 O), 23.2 A, 7.3 ST, 14.8 TO, 13.5 PF
* Opp: 33.8 FG%, 28.2 3P%, 40.7 REB (10.0 O), 13.8 A, 8.8 ST, 11.3 TO, 15.3 PF

The Alexander Keiths (24877), BB-Sascha

2-2, 3rd place (Great 8, II.3, Canada)
(Differential +15, Pythagorean record: 2.4-1.6)

Roster: 28 players, Age 23.9, Salary 345.5K (12.3K/player)

Game strategy (6 competitive matches):
* Offense: Base Offense 6
* Defense: Man to Man 6
* Enthusiasm: 1 less (0 TIE vs CT), 4 equal, 1 more (0 CT vs TIE)

Overall stats (max bbstat: 94 (20415903) vs Silver Palominos):
* IPA: 45.3 FG%, 33.3 3P%, 56.2 REB (14.0 O), 22.2 A, 8.7 ST, 10.2 TO, 14.0 PF
* Opp: 35.0 FG%, 25.2 3P%, 59.2 REB (20.7 O), 16.2 A, 6.8 ST, 14.0 TO, 15.3 PF

Looks as if it will be a tough game. AoP have a euthsiasm advantage going into the game, but cup games on the road are always a battle. The strength of AoP will likely be too much in the end for the keiths.

63 Browncoats vs 47 Undertow, 70 Winnepeg Thunder vs. 74 Slamma Jamma, 75 Saint John Tigers vs. 16 Serenity Now!

These are all other games to keep an eye on this week. Best of look to everyone.

Anyone spot any upsets?

I found this one:

113 Saint John Fighting Walru... 114 - 94 (Replay) 33 Webfoots

I take on the Fighting Walruses next week... should be interesting to see if they can somehow manage to take out two D2 teams in a row.
