Well now we have seen the finale...They announced season 2 will be out...but April 2012..thats a LOOOOOOOOONG wait!!

Guess the conclusion of the season set up the storyline very nicely for season 2

As soon as I saw dragon eggs that was my thinking. My brother tried to tell me otherwise (he'd read book one) but those eggs just kept showing up.

Awesome finale, awesome series! Thankfully Sons of Anarchy and The Walking Dead will show up soon to fill the void till April. In the meantime, I think I may also begin reading the books.

For those who watched the tv series but havent read the books..i strongly recommend it! It's one of the best fantasy series I've ever read, right up there with another favourite of mine, Magician by Feist (and the other books in the Riftwar saga). The events of the Game of Thrones are just the tip of the iceberg with how good it gets!

The fifth book of the Game of Thrones (Song of Ice and Fire) series - a dance with dragons is about to come out as well so nows a great time to read the series. I've been waiting for this book for what seems forever! (but in actuality probably 4 years or so).

just finished watching season 1. loved it but now to start a gruelling wait for the next chapter. time to start Boardwalk Empire
