I wouldn't say boom or bust... but we are ALL IN to get out of D3... This is our 4th season in the league... First season we finished 3rd and lost to Snake River in first round of playoffs... Second season we were 20-2 lost in Playoff semi's... Last year 1st in league lost in League championship game......
Feels like BucsBlue has been a stronghold for 3 seasons with nothing to show for it... Management has decided that this season if we go down its going to be going down on our terms. The team added strong veterans to go with our MVP candidate Tommy. And think this team can potentially win this league and be good for at least 3 seasons. before we NEED to infuse youth. Hopefully at some point we can luck up and land another Tommy Lee in the draft like we did in our Inaugural Season.
Best of luck to everyone...Stay healthy, kick butt in the Cup... and i am looking forward to another competitive year as we go!
In one parting NOTE its only right for management to say a formal Good Bye to Wilburn Marcus! It was an emotional farewell as Wilburn was on the original roster generated by BB when Bucsblue was created at 19yrs old...Following that first season Tommy Lee was drafted & him and Wilburn have grown together, trained together and have been what this team was built around. Tommy having the higher potential clearly took his game slightly farther than Wilburn (who did suffer 1 3 week injury in prime of his training) Tommy was NOT on board with selling Wilburn but understands for this team we needed the revenue and were able to grab 2 60k players for the 1.2 Million Wilburn sold for.
-Wilburn was a top assist guy all 3 seasons in III.7, Averaged a min of 15PPG each season, and last season was the 5th MVP vote getter in the Conf. We wish him well as he's moved to a team where he is the Highest Salary player. (and going to be their KEY guy going forward we assume.)... Management was AFRAID and SURPRISED no one from III.7 looked to picking up Wilburn as we didn't want to have to play against him.
Ok enough of my rant!!!
