Time to slowly introduce this back into the game...TOUGH'S POWER RANKINGS. Only cable guys knows the method, so let's go over it.
The power rankings consists of 16 teams ranking based on record and/or skill at the time. At the beginning of the season I usually give out team needs and what they gotta do to get better. Right now is usually playoff push so I go over what the contenders need to do to be a champions. So lets stop talking, and get on to the rankings!
Tough's Power Rankings
If you don't like em, do em yourself!
1. Super Stars(15-1)
You're probably asking why Ewoks aren't first, the main reason being is Stars bench and Ewoks bench are very different. Stars go 9 deep and then some in key positions, so there will never be a worry about fouling because they can cover almost every position. I also think they are more ready for D2 than the Ewoks...here is why.
2. Team Ewoks(16-0)
This team may be 16-0 but their starters are sometimes gonna be at a point where they will be overplayed. Then GS is gonna get bad, and this is when the Super Stars would possibly beat them I think. If Ewoks get a couple more bench players than I think they will be promoting to D2. Top 2 is way ahead of the rest of the league.
3. Fern Creek Clerics(12-4)
hmmm, strange game there last night. Besides the 2 Eagles losses, Clerics have been dominant across the league and with their deep roster they will also have a fair shot of getting to represent the great 8 in the finals. One thing they need to clear up is their fouling though, in the games they lost they lost their key players due to foul outs. If they can get that down, then they will be in the finals.
4. Stl Sins(11-5)
Just when I thought they were comfortable with their spot in the league, they take out 2 big men, and replaced them with much better big men. Though old, The Tadik fella might be an elite center who can challenge players on Ewoks or Stars roster and like Esteban on the Eagles. Depth looks nice right now, they know everything they need to do. The only issue that may come to them is just flat out talent. Do they have it to beat Clerics? They also have hiccuped a bit against teams like Titans and Dragons, so who knows
5. Mountain Eagles(11-5)
Over-performing for sure. But that's probably because of one of the best duos in the league in Ricart Estebanez Murillo and Sol Scarborough. In the upset last night they carried to Eagles to victory. The main problem for the Eagles will be when Esteban and Sol are cold, who will step up? Out of the assortment of role players they have, sure any one can step up for one night, and while they are depth, can they take on playoff tier talent? That remains to be solved. I do have enough cash to make a splash if I want to so you guys will just have to wait and see my decision.
6. Amsterdam Chimps(11-5)
Another one of the 11-5 teams in here. Chimp have a solid big 3, but after them the talent really drops off. And they are grandpas. When you have grandpas, you know their skills will drop. so what if they're frail by playoff time? Not good. They are showing signs of getting younger by having some nice trainees in that bunch. Interested in seeing their salary jump next season.
7. Jades Dragons(10-6)
Great management here, but right now it's just a Curtis show with larynov as his sidekick. His trainees do look nice and well rounded though, with lots of potential so he might have been doing secondary training and is now going to primaries. Don't know but if he gets more depth and maybe a big time player he'll be serious for promotion. Nice upset on Stl. Sins.
