I think at that point, since this discussion is already 2 seasons old (at least I posted similar suggestion in season 2) it would be nice to have an official answer and to know if the BBs are considering changing the system (for next season) or not.

If the answer is positive we could then submit our ideas, and say how they would not affect training minutes, teams that are not qualified ect...

And another point concerning the playoffs (which would be very easy to implement if so wanted):

Why not mix groups during the playoffs?
1st conference A plays against 4th of conference B

In some countries there are divisions including one very strong conference and one much weaker... (where a 4th seeded has a better record than the 1st seeded of the other conference)
