The Management at BSB decided to send out a few scouts this week to watch some of the opposition that they will be facing later in the year and name the three players to watch. Here are the scouting reports that the Head Coach at BSB received.

La Kings vs Licknuts

In what looked liked to be a very one sided game on the team lineup turned out to be exactly that through out the game. La Kings come out of the change room wanting the win more than Nuts but that didnt help them with Nuts geting out to a fast start scoring the first points of the game in 5 secs thru Haraldt Boostedt which followed throughout the first ending with nuts being up by 7 points at 1/4 time off a great first quarter by Haraldt Boostedt scoring 10 of his teams 23 first quarter points. After the first quarter LA Kings seemed to give up letting Nuts go on a scoring spree before a slight last quarter revive to make the margin a little bit more respectable but they were playing Nuts bench in the last quarter which doesnt have as much depth as there starters.

My 3 votes would go to
Haraldt Boostledt

The big Centre played all 48 mins off the game in what was a dominating performance he scored 42 points on 20 of 24 shooting which is an impressive shooting performance putting his name down as one of the best centres in the league but it wasnt just his scoring that had people watching he also managed 18 rebounds 8 of those offensive which would have his coach happy with his money being well spent on this player. He managed a great rating of 12.5 which is good for a Div 3 side.
This game also helped him to increase his lead in PPG and RBG for the league in which he ranked 1 and 2 respectively

The feisty little PG from Makedonji who is by far the best PG in the competition so far this season leading in assitst had another field day dishing the ball inside to his bigmen that did him proud ending with a game high 17 assists only 4 assists of his personal best. He also hit 20 points giving him another double double for this season his shooting performance was outstanding again hitting 9 from 17 another of the many players on his team to shoot over 50%.

Alejandro Rodríguez

The Rebounding machine from mexico did exactly what he is paid for and has done all season collecting a team high 22 rebounds extending his lead in RBG over fellow team-mate Boostedt. He also managed 14 points on 50% percent shooting showing that he is capable of scoring if required but would prefer to leave that to his international team mate and just keep rebounding and show that its not all about height when rebounding but about how much you want it being only 6'9 were most bigs in this league are 6'11 or taller.

Still waiting on Scouting Report from the Brisbane Wildcats vs Redbacks should be up in the next day when he returns from interstate

Redbacks vs Brisbane

The redbacks made easy work of the Wildcats hitting out to a 23 point lead at quarter time and never looked backed. The Wildcats kept taking the wrong and rushed shots against a team that had them shut down from outside while on the other end the wildcats could find open shots all over the place hitting many open 3's and long range 2's against the 2-3 zone of Brisbane. Brisbane gained some respectability in the last quarterer winning it by 2 points.
There was only really one player that seemed to be trying for brisbane and should be a player to keep an eye on in next weeks game against them

Nathan Moore was the only player to be shooting well for the wildcats hiiting 7 from 12 and collecting 5 rebounds down on his averages from this season

while there shooting guard was there top scorer but shot at only 33 percent. but managed 22 points.

They will be hoping for a better game against BSB where the scout will have more passion to write a good report ;)

In what was meant to be a good close game didnt finish how it was planned to. Both teams started fast hitting there first two shots each. BSB plan to play a 1-3-1 zone to beat the run and gun play style of the Wildcats didnt work out with Wildcats changing tactics early and playing a dominantly big man game with nearly all there points scored inside. Even with the Wildcats starting guard having a shocking shooting performance they were able to pull off a 90 to 78 victory after a massive third were they outscored BSB 27-13 which end up being the deciding factor. In what will be mostly likely there ownly meeting of this year it turned out to be a let down. Hopefully both teams will face each other next season or in a few seasons time when there both in the ABBL.

The top players of the Game

3.
Luis Andres
The Big PF of Wildcats had a blinder of a game getting a double double in what was a dominating performance against the much weaker bigmen of BSB. He managed to pull down 13 rebs and score 15 points on 7/8 shots and for a big man he can pass the ball racking up 5 assists. He would of made BSB looking even worse if it wasnt for fouling out.

2.
Dalibor Kostrevc
The SG of BSB was the games highest scorer many believe that it should of been crowd favourite Alvin Turnbull who should of ending up taking the most shots for BSB but it wasnt to be this game with Alvin being kept quite Dalibor stepped up scoring 25 points off a shocking shooting performance 11-25 he will be needing some JS training ;) but also managed 5 assists and 5 rebounds and a massive 4 steals all of which came in the 4th quarter fight back

1.
Ignacio Poyatos
Was by far the most influential bench player in 14 mins of playing time he managed to rack up 13 rebounds and 8 points and was definatly the difference between the Wildcats winning or losing.

Special Mentions
Miguel Jardim
In what he has already announced as last season at the club Miguel has shown why he is a valued member and why his teamates want to keep him around next season. he was the spark in the last quarter that gave the struggling bsb side some up and go which made them fight back and come within striking distance late in the game. 15pts 8rbs 4blocks 1steal

Game to Forget
Jayson Gower
What a performance for a guard who definatly needs to learn to pass ;) and shoot he by far was the worse play on the field missing 17 shots his only scoring basket came from 2 free throws. He will be hoping to have a better game next week
