I think the Green Machines's plan was pretty obvious, bank money all season and then do whatever it takes not to demote. He's probably set for the draft too. He just realized that he needed to too really load up for relegation series because the Pugs were so strong but probably would have preferred taking on far less salary.

It may not be a strategy that everyone would employ but it's still a strategy nonetheless. Bad luck on the draw but the Pugs will be back in Naismith soon enough.

You guys make it sound more exciting than it really was. At the end of last season I was in the hole close to a million dollars by the end of my failed playoff push. The plan wasn't so much to bank this season as it was to get out of debt and try to stay in Div 1 which was a bit harder than I expected given the low attendance from all the losing. If Pugs had pushed me to three games I would have ended this season barely in the black financially and I think I was lucky to have it end in 2. I also kept Phil this season to make sure he had good GS for the Canada NT push, and decided to keep him for the regulation games. It would be nice to keep him, but unless you are going for it all (and already have a good team) he is too much of a drain on salary to build a team. As for the draft I don't think I'll get a good player as with all the bloody scouting I haven't seen a great potential player...maybe I'll push for the extra 2 pops and get Bastos to 130 TSP have him lead Div 1 in points and not sniff the NT again.

well, thats guiet a beating. i will take it though. Better now than in game 3 :D Lets hope it actually gets that far.
All in all, looking at weird FT shooting and some incredible rebounding stats, extra effort, HCA, bad GDP, score actually isnt that bad :D I am optimistic before saturday and hope that I will be able to take the series to 3rd game and at least get some extra income

Why wouldn't you let LPP win the series so that Canada gets 2 reps in BB? Both of your teams are obviously worthy of spots.

because window of opportunity is closing for my team and I still dont have championship (RiP had the same situation when it was last season, he blew up his team, yet he still went for championship). I still believe MrBurns is a favorite here with HCA and BBB semi-final roster, so he will most likely take it anyway.

Fair enough.

I think game 3 will be close either way.

yeah. If it gets to it. We will see. Unfortunately I won't be able to atend game 3 and most likely game 2 either. And I am in quite comfortable position now. No matter what the outcome is, there will always be a silver lining :D
Next season hopefully blue conference gets a big stronger though. With LPP's roster playing in such conference is pretty much cheating in terms of getting HCA in finals :D

If you think it was like cheating getting home advantage
how about the teams that didn't relegate in that division and didn't have to try to hard

yeah, life on the other side of the fence is good :D But who is to say that situation won't change 180 degrees within next 2 seasons?

SBC, Supreme, and I have made it known we plan on competing in coming seasons. 50% chance of Beanz promoting to this conference.

-SBC has awesome players and has money
-Supreme has 3 trainees with 130+ TSP/10, another 130 TSP/10 player, and additional 180k and 170k players for good measure
-I have a large sum of money and assets
-Beanz has 2 NT players, 3 awesome trainees who are future NT players, and is rich

Not sure about HTG, HG, or your situations but I doubt any of you are going away any time soon. Edit: obviously supreme might, which is terrible.

I've got a ton of scouting points and finally some money in the bank
my plan is the first overall pick
And the buying of the best Canadian 18 year old available next week
it's relegation for sure unless Supreme goes bot
gearing up for a real run next time around
C'mon and beat my brains in everyone
Of course I got the top pick available last time I relegated and only got a perennial AS after spending all the scouting points
