1 last recap. Just looking through the draft and for the most part in the first round everyone got their #1 choice besides the last 3 teams picking. (including me who didn't scout) but oddly for the first 3 picks its not till Mits that i see someone who's first choice is a player it looks like they scouted and wanted.... for first round picks i literally see 3-4 good players... even my first round pick guy is AWFUL! Just always shows or makes me wonder what value to people really put into the draft. I mean with the new system of having pretty darn good 19 yr olds and expanded scouting on 18 yr olds is it time people begin to put effort into the draft or is it still a crap shoot????

Just always interesting. Cuz clearly guys could have better skills than just a salary or potential shows, but for the draft to be what 48 or 50 total players that BB randomly generates. (16 teams each with 3 picks so 48 players get drafted) i didn't look at all 48 guys in this draft but i feel like just in making an overlook, if these are the 48 out of 48 guys really only 5-7 are potential difference makers or guys that could have long BB careers.

just seems like such a really small percentage.

It does, and as I mentioned I was looking for specific things 2s and 3s, and stronger outside shooting, which is something I've admittedly been terrible at developing. However, if I found highly desirable guys they certainly moved up my draft board.

I'm a little against the BB grain in that I prefer balance without standout skills. The good thing is that it helps keep salaries in check a little more, and allows a manager to be flexible with different styles of play without losing too much. But in the big picture, it's more difficult to compete.

I also like guys who are the wrong size for their listed position, because if they have reasonably balanced skills, they are less work to develop for a position best suited for their height.
