Frosty BC (d3. 210) vs The Huskies (d3. 369)

Ugh, this is going to suck. I need to keep pace with the great 8 if I still want to make the playoffs, which I think I can all of the sudden. Yeah, I'm bipolar about my team. I no longer think I'll have to win a relegation series. I think I can fight for that 4 seed. Anyway, I have some super easy games, and I'll be able to save a lot of minutes and enthusiasm for the game. If I see he saved a lot of starter minutes against me, I have no problem ct'ing him to ensure a victory. I have a lot of built-up enthusiasm, not that I think I would need it even if it did come down to all starters vs starters. This is how I make trips to the final 64. Huskies are a deep team, deeper than mine, and they field a competitive, albeit aging d3 team, and all things being even, I might call this a pick'em, but alas they are not. I like mine to take this one. Frosty -8.5.

Mitsubishi Eclipse (d3. 310) vs hussars (d2. 35)

The Eclipse is screwed here. hussars are 8 deep, and they're really damn good. It honestly might be a blessing in disguise for Mitsubishi, as they are fighting to avoid a relegation series spot, and playing a team like this makes the decision pretty easy. It's not impossible for them to snag that 5 spot, or even a 4 spot if they make a transfer move. hussars -21.

I have a 3 game road swing which i dont think i've ever seen. With that said it means this 50k from the cup game is huge. I am going to not play my MVP but i will play at least 1 of my 60k players. They wont beat me. lol

i was gonna say... first glance... something looks, really really weird. here's to hoping for bankruptcy. seriously... why? it's not like a team like that can win the usa tournament, they'll only lose money while making a moderately deep run, but any nbba team will annihilate them, as will most d2 teams. it's just a really awesome d3 team, borderline d2, raking in d5 revenue. best they can probably hope for is sweet 16? even that's pushing it.

i mean, don't get me wrong, anyone can play however they like if they have the money to do so, but... i guess i just don't understand what's trying to be accomplished. just trying to see a d5 team's name on the sweet 16 list? maybe that's it?

well, some really bad transfers, but not necessarily suspicious ones. for instance, he bought 3 guys for over a mil a piece, and 6 months later, lost half a mil a piece by selling them. guy lost 1.5 mil in 3 assets in 6 months with doling out weekly salary to boot. the guy bleeds money. i think he's netted a greater loss in transfer fees than total revenue i've accumulated since my team's inception. it's crazy to think he still has money in the bank after paying all that salary and in xfer fee money. he's like the opposite of a day-trader. he had to have so much stockpiled... i honestly don't understand how he still has any money. his xfer history goes back to 2009 though, so he's a battle-hardened vet manager.

Nothing really that exciting from my team, but my younger guys Cooper had a double double in 21 minutes (and a 10.0 rating!) and Ellington scored 10 in just 13 minutes.

Bowers led my team with 30 points, but his skills are starting to drop. While that makes me sad, it's also a little exciting because he's the first player that I will sunset and eventually retire on his own terms. Well they'll still be my terms, but you get the idea.

Will be good to phase Muzalia and Cooper in. I've been frustrated that Ellington has been slow to develop, but he has gotten some good pops in recent weeks. I feel comfortable playing him more, so hopefully he can max out on training the rest of this year.
