Congratulations Gàidhealtachd for winning the relegation playoff series, quite a surprise to me personally, I guess the Big 8 had an edge this season over the other conference, I hope to see an even more competitive league next season, I hope a time will come soon when the bottom teams can beat the championship contenders.

Cheers! :)

I've not been logging in much and my default lineup was messed up for most of the season with players out of position. Sorted it near the end but fully expected to go down after a nearly a full season of rubbish results. Very pleasantly surprised to survive!

I still have no real understanding of tactics and absolutely no idea what a good team building strategy would be, so I firmly expect to be struggling against relegation again next season! :D

Looks like you survived as well, yeah? I guess we'll lock horns in the Big 8 next season then! :)

Oh, while I'm on the forum, does anyone know what day we get the new players from the draft?

I couldn't be bothered to open a new thread besides this one should do.

Guttingly I had an analysis of all the matches and prediction and a misclick took it away from me :( so I'll just post a few thoughts and who I think till win each match.

Playoffs.

Big 8

Orkney CaberTossers - Last Drop Drinkers

OCT have a great defence and the home court adavntage I feel that is enough said.
I reckon the differance in points will be 8-14. at a guess the score will be 112-96.( I know th differance is greater then my PDP I don't honestly think LDD will score that much but it's a guess).

Mount Orion Tesk - Hillheads Warriors

MOT have the homecourt the better off and def record I can't see this match going anywhere else but to them.
I think the PD will be 16 - 20.
Score guess - 120-104

Great 8.

Templar Cavaliers - Blue Heaven
The match of the round no doubt.

While the Cavs have the homecourt advantage and greater wins this season. Blue have been changing the team all season so rebuilding for the future.
Winner I'm going to go with the underdog this time round and pick Blue.
PD I'll guess 2-6
SG 116-119

Dundee Baby Sharks - Abbey Road

DBS with a homecourt should seal this although i wouldn't call them a big fav either it's an interesting matchup.
Winner DBS
PD 10
115 -110

Relegation

aberdeen allstars - Benson Bobcats
This will be a high scoring affair as both teams have god awful def the worst 2 in the division (excluding LA showtime as they were a bot team for most of the sason) should be fun to watch for a neutral.
WinnerAllstar
PD 8
score 120-112
Scottish Leo - Bhattas Ballers

I pick me I have better game shape and start with homecourt so I can't see another outcome, as I'm biased but even with the superiour wage bill if your team arent prepared to play then you can't win.
Winner Leo
PD - 5-20 vague I know but my team are strange always have been :)
Score - 114- 97

I'l try to get a good analysis done for the games on Sat good luck to all those involved.

So who do you guys think will be the winners this time around?
If there is any spelling or grammatical mistakes sorry but thats just me.

No chance of that now I think.

You won't get to play Blue again till next season ;)

HT report
Relegation
Benson are winning 63-49 against the allstars.
Leo are winning 53-44

QF's
OCT are up 59-44
MOT are up 63-49
DBS are in a close encounter 54-50 for the moment.
Cavs are dominating 53-24

Teams i think are using CT
Bobcats
Leo and Ballers I can't remember if I am are not :(

Hilhead, LDD, ARB and Blue.

The others I think are using normal.

Edit Epic end between Benson and the allstars after a great comeback in the last the allstars had a 2 point lead with 3 seconds to go and a 3 point buzzerbeater seals the win for Benson.

Yes congratulations on the wins. I look forward to playing you as well the times I've played against you were interesting. :)

Unlucky to the allstars and ballers, you both seemed to set up to lose this time around using players for pretty much the full game isn't trying to win in my opinion even the best players need time to relax during games good luck to you both for next season.

So the cavs and OCT final again.

I hope it goes yo game 3 so prediction for them.

Game 1 Cavs win
Game 2 OCT
Game 3 Cavs

I think the champs will be different this time around but it should be fun to watch the best def v the best off.

Good luck to you both.

It's interesting to see the Cavs with homecourt advantage. I think this might be the closest final series in a long time in Scotland. I would say OCT has the upper hand but the homecourt disadvantage makes it tricky. Still, my prediction is OCT in a close one.

I hope the league becomes even more competitive next year because this season there were a few teams that for some reason did not do that much to fight for survival, including a bot who achieved an impressive 0-22. If we get a few teams that are more competitive and motivated to fight for survival it will be more interesting for us at the bottom.

As for the top teams, it seems that little will change unless someone has saved up a lot of money and is willing to spend it next season. The situation in Scotland seems to have stayed the same for 3 seasons in a row, at least I'm happy to see a few fresh teams that look like they've got enough ambition to reach the top, the only thing that is needed is time :)
