9/4 South Africa vs. Misr 65 - 101 (21007)

This game was always going to be out of our reach, especially being hampered by some GS issues. Their were a few positive notes with Schartner top scoring for the game with 32 points, with just under 50% efficiency. Wall was another of the shining lights with 5-10 shooting along with a team high 9 rebounds from the SF spot. Wall was also impressive on the defensive end. Mwathiwa was horrid from the field with 0-11, despite handing off 7 of the teams 10 assists. Overall we showed signs of competing in the first quarter, however we were overrun after that point.

Next game against Nigeria should be a better indication of where the team is at.

Overall better GS this week than last which i am pleased to say. Still a few concerns on a few players and i will contact their managers about this issue.

I am hoping to possibly get the offsite forum for SA set up again so we can get some of you guys involved.

I have bbmailed the appropriate managers about the gameshape concerns, so hopefully we see an improvement.

Unfortunately for us our highest salary player Chisiza is currently owned by a team who has failed to log in for 20 days. So there is nothing we can really do on that front, which will severely weaken the team. I will however keep an eye out for when his manager turns bot and Chisiza hits the TL for anyone who is interested.

i have noticed, pity you can't own the whole team.

but in all seriousness a few of the issues in the first week have been sorted out by their managers which is good to see.

Alright so we lost last night to Nigeria in what was a very close game, where we had opportunities to possibly win it in the last quarter. Unfortunately we couldn't make shots when it counts. We had a great start with Wall and Mtolo leading the way. Motihala also had a solid game starting at PF in favour of Chisiza who when he was on the court for 12 mins we were 20 points worse off. If we could maybe get him back in shape later in the season when he is picked up by a new manager, then we would be alot more dangerous. Mwathiwa is going to be sent to the gym all day every day to work on his jumpshot after shooting 0-11 in game 1 and 1-10 last night.

Next game looks very hard as Ghana have been in good form in the first two games.

I have just been given rights to the SA offsite forum and making some inquiries about how to get some of you guys signed up, so you can take a greater role in the senior and U21 NT's.

hopefully we can get everything sorted in the coming days.

If i am going to be honest. Our team is one of the weakest at Senior NT level. This is often due to other teams having fair superior bigs, which is a bit of a weakness for us, compared to every other team. It isn't helped by the fact that Chisiza, our only 100k+ player is controlled by a team going bot. But we have to play with the hand we have been dealt, so i will do my best to win wherever we can.

With young bigs like Galvin and Motihala coming through, we have a brighter future. along with the guards Naidu and Mokitmi. Those players are the way forward, as are the other young players coming through the U21 team, that is why it is so vital to have young players trained well.

once we are able to sort out the off-site forum, you guys will be able to have a better understanding of where SA are at as a country.

I'm happy that we could get Wall going (he's our key player, probably one of those guys that will perform well every day). Now we just need the others to step up!

It's good to see some old U21 players slowly work their way into the line up, like motihala, naidu and mokitimi. However, I see no other big man than moithala that is likely to make the senior NT so far and it's definitely a concern. At least we will have the guards...
