Hey, I'm just happy to finally be up here. I probably could've survived fine without selling one of my centers, but happy to have costs more reasonable again. You seem to be rolling along just fine so far. Me? I'm quite content with a 2-1 start, even if it is against the bottom 3 in the division thus far :-)
Just happy to be here, like I said. I spent 15 seasons in IV.22. 15 playoff appearances. 3 final losses including one in an otherwise undefeated season (I believe I came up one team short of bot-promote?). And the last few years with my team quickly eclipsing 200k through training. Happy to finally have the hurting end. It'll probably take a while to find my floor... and ceiling... up here. Best of luck to you all :-)

There's been such an avoidance of training blocks too high previously because of the believed lack of production to salary trade-off, that I find it hard to find those guys on the TL. Unless you are looking for a guy whose IS, ID and RB are at the same or generally much higher level. And since I've been training guards pretty much for my entire history, I don't have any such player myself. I've looked for a purely defensive center (IS no higher than strong, with ID, RB & BK all at least prolific but preferably higher) for a couple of season, but rarely find one listed. (edit: or the ones I do find have too many "atrocious" secondaries. Unless you are a rookie, I don't accept atrocious in any skill.)

I just found out that my team leads the league in blocks per game though at 8.7, which really surprises me.

You really haven't paid much attention to how I've played, have you? Winning home games has never been too important to me, since they have generally not impacted attendance and therefore revenue. Not certain how much that has changed with the revised attendance coding this season, but I haven't really revised my approach yet. I don't look that far ahead to know if I will consider the games against either of you as that important to win or not. At equal effort levels, I think either of you would have a good chance of beating me, even at my arena. The question is whether or not each of us will decide to TIE or Normal the particular game. lol

I'm actually surprised by my season so far. Certainly getting bounced out of the cup the first week (because I decided to see if I could play it as a true scrimmage against a D.IV team - guess not) has helped my league record. I think GS_Warriors is actually the favorite for the Big 8. I got lucky playing him early and then put in more effort, but it still took double OT for me to pull that one out. I suspect he'll win the next one, even though it will be on my court.

Originally I'd been thinking that this would be the last season for this core group and I'd be starting a small rebuild at the end of the season. Of course, I was expecting to be in the 3rd - 5th place, and therefore have a good opportunity to sell off some of my older guys towards the end of the season when others would be looking for playoff boosts. If my good fortunes continue, I will have to consider being one of those looking for playoff boosts myself. But we'll see how the inter-conference plays goes - I certainly don't expect to have an easy time of it. Then I'll re-evaluate again.
