Although I had an inkling that her absence was linked to her health, I never fathomed that she would pass away.... I'm sure that the BB community is devastated by this news and her presence will be missed.

She was a tremendous person, respected by all. I guess this shows that no matter what happens in life, good health, family, and happiness is most important. Therefore, I just want to say that all of you that I've met over the years truly are great people and although I haven't been active much recently, we really should try to get along and interact with each other more often as a true community.

Rest in Peace Kumiko.

This is very sad indeed. She seemed a wonderful young lady. I can attest to her influence on the Canadian community. I doubt I'd be playing today if she hadn't taken so much time to accommodate me and teach me the ins and outs of the game. She will be missed. I am all for naming the tournament for her.

I have never personally worked or know Kumiko, however I have noticed that she had many achievements especially with the U21 team and had made positive effect towards this community. Definitely a tremendous loss to the community.

Rest in Peace Kumiko.

As for the name change, I personally feel that there should be a poll for the entire country before make that decision. I believe there should be a BB Mail to all members in this community as not many people read or post in the forum. I think Kumiko's achieves and impact should be engraved in the U21 News as she put a lot of effort toward that team. And last I suggest the games should start 5 mins later for a week as a moment of silence to show respect and sadness the community feels if it's possible.

Surely the vast majority would prefer "Kumiko Cup" to "Canada Tournament". No poll necessary.

So sad when someone passes away at such a young age. Life really is a precious gift, we should never take anything for granted. Rest In Peace Lisa (Kumiko).

As for the tournament, i am all for re-naming it the "Kumiko Memorial Tournament". It would be a really nice tribute to someone who gave so much to this game.
