Yeah, I think having homegrown/locals and a level 3 merch store helps. I dont really know about arena sponsorships yet or how to improve that....

Good luck in your game tonight! :-)

Tuesday Night Smash'm Ups!

Buckner Bandits resolute victory over the Vatican Vipers, showcased their balanced offense. Mick Hunt, best name I've seen so far, Kevin Moore, were made solid. Combined the 2 players, shot 17-35, 3-7 from behind the 3point line, they had 20 assists, 3 steals and only 1 Turn Over. They accounted for 80 of the Buckner Bandits 106 points.

Meanwhile the MKE Bucks, Troy Head, flirted with a triple double, in the home opener. 28 points, 9 boards and 8 assists.

Should be an interesting match up.

Good Luck everyone.

Bustamante Dominates as Bucks Hold Off Late Surge from Bandits

In front of a roaring crowd of 20,509 at Fiserv Forum, the MKE Bucks outlasted the Buckner Bandits 133–123 in a high-octane league showdown that showcased elite individual performances and fierce competitiveness from start to finish.

The headline of the night was the unstoppable force in the paint: J. Bustamante, who delivered a monster performance with 30 points, 24 rebounds, and 3 blocks. The Bandits had no answer for the Bucks' big man, who imposed his will down low and controlled the boards from the opening tip. His +26 plus-minus rating reflected his undeniable impact, as he anchored the Bucks’ frontcourt on both ends of the floor.

The Bucks exploded in the second quarter, outscoring the Bandits 46–23 to take a commanding halftime lead. While the Bandits clawed back with 35-point bursts in both the third and fourth quarters, it wasn’t enough to overcome the early deficit.

Buckner’s own stars came to play, with K. Moore leading all scorers with 36 points, including 6 threes and a perfect 2-for-2 from the line. M. Hunt added 35 points, combining deadly perimeter shooting and relentless drives to keep the Bandits within striking distance.

Rookie center Greyson Tobin pulled down 14 rebounds and recorded 3 blocks in a gritty 48-minute effort, but struggled offensively against Bustamante's overwhelming presence.

The Bucks benefited from a well-rounded attack, with A. Moisidis and A. Barth each contributing 30+ points and making clutch shots in the first half to build the cushion that kept the Bandits at bay.

Despite the loss, the Bandits showed resilience and fire in the second half. Head Coach Lit praised his squad’s hustle: ā€œWe didn’t fold. We fought back hard in the second half, and we’ll carry that energy forward.ā€

Game Highlights:

MKE Bucks 133, Buckner Bandits 123

J. Bustamante (MKE): 30 PTS, 24 REB, 6 AST, 3 BLK

K. Moore (Buc): 36 PTS, 5 AST, 6-14 3FG

M. Hunt (Buc): 35 PTS, 5 REB, 6-7 FT

A. Barth (MKE): 34 PTS, 4 AST, 14-21 FG

A. Moisidis (MKE): 30 PTS, 10 REB, 13-20 FG

Up Next:

The Buckner Bandits (1-1) return home next week against the Berlin Lawnflamingos (ranked 618) who just upset a very good Wahoo Warriors team. With young talent like Greyson Tobin continuing to develop and veterans like Moore and Hunt leading the way, the Bandits are poised to bounce back stronger.

Wow, I can't believe there is an active forum here in IV. Anyways, hey guys, glad I'm back to IV with active players. I was from III but it was a forced promotion by the system and I didn't want to be there because I was training some rookies.

1. MKE Bucks (2-0) retain the top spot. Defeating both Buckner Bandits and Wahoo Warriors.

2. 500 Hackers (2-0) hold the 2nd spot, only becuase the they throttled the Orlando Tragic

3. After Shocks (2-0) remain in the same position. Need to see what they do against some real competition.

4. Buckner Bandits (1-1) had the 2nd hardest opening week, and fared very well.

5. Berlin Lawnflamingos (2-0) a Solid win over the Wahoo Warriors.

6. R3ap3rs (2-0) We know the Dingleberries aren't good, but are the R3ap3rs.

7. Vatican Vipers (1-1) In for an easy week.

8. Wahoo Warriors (0-2) had a very tough 1st week. Getting hit with quadfecta, Road, Out Enthusiasmed, and got nailed by 2 Game-Day predictions. Thats a mighty 40ish points to overcome.

I know, I love an active forum, unfortunately DIV teams tend to get mixed up at the end of the season, so we will see if that happens to us! :-)

Hopefully not!

Best of luck with your rookie trainings! :-)

šŸ€ Buckner Bandits Weekly Recap
Week Ending: April 11, 2025
Record This Week: 1-1

The Buckner Bandits split their matchups this week, going 1-1 in a pair of gritty games. While the team continues to fine-tune its chemistry, there were plenty of bright spots—particularly in training and on the offensive end.

šŸ”„ Player Highlights
⭐ Mick Hunt
The soul of the Bandits was on fire this week. Mick dropped a blistering 28.0 points per game, knocking down 7 threes and shooting nearly 48% from the field. On top of that, he gained a level in experience (mediocre → average), showing he's becoming not just a scorer, but a seasoned leader.

⭐ Kevin Moore
Kevin Moore was a force of nature—27.5 points, 8 assists, 4 rebounds, and perfect at the line (4-4). His training pop in Free Throw (sensational → tremendous) shows he’s refining his all-around game and becoming deadly in late-game situations.

šŸ“ˆ Training Gains

Paolo Polo improved his already elite free throw form (wondrous → marvelous).

Sidney McCann saw solid two-way growth, boosting his Passing (average → respectable) and Inside Defense (mediocre → average).

William Moore took a small but meaningful step in Experience (awful → inept).

Mick Hunt’s experience gain adds even more leadership value on and off the court.

šŸ’Ŗ Role Players Stepping Up
Johnny Costello played with confidence, averaging 18.5 points and shooting over 53% from the field.
Grover Patterson quietly had a strong impact, scoring efficiently (60% FG) and grabbing 7.5 boards per game.
Timothy Lawler was solid off the bench, though he’ll need to monitor his stamina going forward.
William Moore continues to be a gritty glue guy—12 points, 6 rebounds, and good defensive activity.

šŸ“‰ Training Drops
A few stamina setbacks to note:

Eleuterio Aillón (strong → respectable)

Timothy Lawler (respectable → average)

Grover Patterson (average → mediocre)

With the Bandits' high-paced play style, keeping fresh legs will be key in upcoming games.

🧠 Inside the Training Room
Training this week focused on Inside Defense for Centers, helping bolster rim protection as the season progresses. Keep an eye on that unit as the benefits begin to show.

šŸŸļø Looking Ahead
With one win under their belt this week and stars continuing to shine, the Bandits are moving in the right direction. Momentum is building—and with strong individual growth across the board, next week could be a statement stretch.
